**Rockwell Automation Partners with Shanghai Climate Week to Build a New Paradigm for 2026 Climate Lighthouse**

A new paradigm leads the construction of a green ecosystem, transcending boundaries toward a sustainable future.

ShanghaiApril 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK), one of the global leaders in industrial automation, informatization, and digital transformation, partnered with multiple ecosystem collaborators during Shanghai Climate Week to jointly host the 2026 Climate Lighthouse New Paradigm series of themed events.

The Climate Lighthouse initiative, co-launched by Rockwell and Shanghai Climate Week in 2024, focuses on climate-friendly transformation driven by smart manufacturing and digital technologies, continuously advancing the co-construction of relevant standards and demonstration practices. In 2026, after more than two years of exploration and accumulation, the Climate Lighthouse New Paradigm further deepens its efforts around three key directions: scenario innovation, industrial collaboration, and ecosystem elevation. It refines the practical guidance system with industry standards and case analysis as the core, promotes cross-industry global optimization through industrial value chain collaboration, and continues to solicit use cases and promote achievements globally to build global influence.

At the event, Shi An, President of Rockwell Automation (China) Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech titled “Paradigm Innovation, Connecting the Globe,” systematically elaborating on the development path and significance of the new paradigm of the Climate Lighthouse in the context of industrial chain collaboration. Shi An stated: “The Climate Lighthouse initiative is moving towards a new stage of systematic development for ecosystem co-construction, with cross-industry elevation capabilities becoming a key driving force. Rockwell will continue to play the role of a ‘chain leader,’ bringing together cross-industry partners, linking all parties in the industrial chain ecosystem, and promoting the formation of a new open and co-constructed paradigm for the Climate Lighthouse globally, providing a replicable benchmark path for the sustainable development of global industries.”

At this event, the results of the 2026 Climate Lighthouse New Paradigm were officially released. The release focused on the white paper “Climate Lighthouse Construction Guide,” which elaborates on key content such as its methodological framework and practical pathways. This white paper brings together insights from authoritative institutions and experts both domestically and internationally, systematically organizing the full-process methodology from assessment to implementation. Combined with the analysis of typical cases over the years, it enhances the replicability and reference value of practical achievements. Since the launch of the Climate Lighthouse initiative, multiple batches of phased practical results have been accumulated, with over 500 advanced use cases collected. From these, approximately 100 exemplary cases with demonstration significance have been selected, covering more than 100 industrial sub-sectors, providing solid data support for typical case analysis and continuously building a cross-industry, multi-scenario low-carbon practice system.

As a key support for the implementation of the new paradigm results, the Climate Lighthouse Innovation Platform was officially launched at the event. The platform focuses on end-to-end industrial chain collaboration, with its first phase concentrating on three major directions: sustainable consumer goods industry chain, low-carbon environmental protection industry chain, and sustainable building industry chain. Leveraging sub-forum scenarios such as sustainable transportation, green maritime, green facility management, and lean sustainability, it brings together multiple forces to promote the integration of upstream and downstream resources and capability coordination within the industrial chain. Based on the 2026 annual action plans for each ecosystem chain, the platform will further promote the accumulation of practical experience and multi-field collaborative linkage through the release of thematic white papers, series of seminars, and cross-industry dialogues, helping the Climate Lighthouse move towards large-scale application.

At the event, the Climate Lighthouse expert database was announced, and 21 expert review panel members from multiple industry sectors were awarded, continuously improving the Climate Lighthouse evaluation system. Additionally, 42 Climate Lighthouse excellent cases were released and certificates were awarded, covering sustainable practice directions across multiple industries. On this basis, the selection of Climate Lighthouse benchmark cases was officially launched, along with the “She Power” project, focusing on benchmark practices led by female leaders, promoting the continuous deepening and dissemination of excellent cases.
