It is now open for public submissions of sustainable development action cases from enterprises and institutions nationwide. In addition to continuing the five existing topics from 2025—[ESG Marketing], [Climate Action], [Caring for Children], [Biodiversity Conservation], and [Her Impact]—this year introduces two new topics: [Beautiful Villages] and [Win-Win Value Chain], bringing the total to seven topics. This expansion aims to continuously respond to hot social sustainability issues. Zhang Sheng, the lead organizer of “520 Social Responsibility Day,” stated that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the initiative. The [Caring for Children] topic focuses on comprehensive improvements to children’s growth environments. The selection process is built on a value-oriented foundation, incorporating Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) theory and methods into the evaluation system. Using a logical framework (goals, actions, outputs, impacts) as the evaluation standard, it selects emerging cases, outstanding cases, and best cases for each topic. Each topic will have only one best case.

The case selection process is entirely free. The same applicant can submit multiple cases under each topic category, but a single case can only participate in one topic category.
The final results of the sustainable development case selection will be announced at the [Midsummer Night] event in Beijing on June 26. Additionally, the organizers will continue to expand the influence of outstanding cases by recommending that submitted cases apply for or connect to other case selections and collection activities recognized by the “520 Social Responsibility Day” Sustainable Development Case Selection Committee.
