Chen Liguang of Liuzhou Dongcheng Group welcomed the visit of the TÜV SÜD team on behalf of the company and expressed gratitude for TÜV SÜD’s professional support during the audit process. He stated that compliance testing and certification serve as a “passport” for enterprises to enter the international market. The acquisition of the TÜV SÜD EU type approval witness laboratory authorization qualification marks that Liuzhou Automotive Testing Company has aligned its testing capabilities with international standards. This will create a convenient “testing – certification – going global” channel for local automotive companies, helping them reduce product export costs and efficiently expand overseas markets, thereby providing strong support for Liuzhou’s automotive industry chain to move up the value chain.
As China’s automotive exports continue to grow, the technical compliance requirements of major global automotive markets are becoming increasingly systematic. As an important force driving the internationalization of China’s automotive industry, TÜV SÜD and Liuzhou Automotive Testing Company jointly shoulder the responsibility of ensuring product quality and safety. Against this backdrop, close cooperation between testing and certification bodies helps shorten certification cycles and reduce compliance costs for regional vehicle and component manufacturers. During the exchange, Xiong Jun of TÜV SÜD stated that the authorization of witness testing for Liuzhou Automotive Testing Company marks that both parties can jointly conduct high-quality automotive product evaluation and certification work for vehicle manufacturers in Guangxi and South China, providing professional and convenient technical support. He expressed hope that in the future, both sides will leverage their respective advantages in forward-looking experience and technical capabilities to engage in deeper collaboration, offering comprehensive and efficient services to help China’s automotive industry address overseas risks and compliance challenges.

Technical Salon Scene
Currently, China’s automotive industry is transitioning from “scale expansion” to a new stage of “high-quality development.” Compliance capabilities in a single market are no longer sufficient to cover the diverse overseas expansion needs of vehicle manufacturers. As a globally renowned third-party testing and certification body, TÜV SÜD possesses deep technical expertise in automotive safety and type approval. Liuzhou Automotive Testing Company is an influential public service platform for automotive testing in the region. Both parties agreed to take this laboratory authorization as an opportunity, based on the requirements of high-tech development and industrial upgrading, to deepen cooperation in areas such as capability building, joint regulatory research, and resource sharing. They aim to collaboratively explore adaptive solutions to address industry pain points, jointly empowering Chinese automotive companies to build sustainable compliance resilience in global competition.
