HefeiMay 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On April 28, TÜV SÜD (hereinafter referred to as “TÜV SÜD”) attended the opening ceremony of the Hefei Zero Carbon Center located in Hefei. At the event, Xu Hailiang, Vice President of Smart Energy for TÜV SÜD Greater China, presented the Hefei Zero Carbon Center with a carbon neutrality achievement statement based on ISO 14068, and delivered a keynote report titled “Zero-Carbon Park Implementation and Practice: From Policy Demonstration to Industrial Competitiveness.” The report shared practical observations on topics such as zero-carbon park development trends, alignment with corporate needs, and green capacity building in parks, supporting the construction of domestic zero-carbon parks through certification and practical insights.
The Hefei Zero Carbon Center, located in the Yunhe New City of Shushan District, Hefei, is the first new-type R&D institution in the zero-carbon field in Anhui Province, a zero-carbon industry incubation and acceleration platform, and a demonstration park for zero-carbon technology applications. Invested and built by Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd., the center plans to encompass production and manufacturing, R&D pilot testing, maker spaces, and supporting service facilities, aiming to establish a high-level comprehensive public innovation empowerment platform in the zero-carbon field and create a zero-carbon technology ecosystem. At the event, TÜV SÜD awarded the Hefei Zero Carbon Center a carbon neutrality achievement statement based on ISO 14068. This statement not only verifies the systematic and effective nature of its greenhouse gas emission reduction, carbon offsetting, and sustained carbon neutrality efforts but also sets a quantifiable and replicable practical benchmark for regional zero-carbon transformation.

Currently, zero-carbon parks are becoming key carriers for achieving the dual-carbon goals. The construction of zero-carbon parks has entered a window period of intensified policy support and active local piloting, with a focus on key areas such as energy structure transformation, carbon management system development, energy-carbon monitoring platform establishment, and collaboration in low-carbon industries, transportation and logistics, building facilities, circular economy, and pollution reduction and carbon mitigation. The value of zero-carbon parks lies not only in “completing construction” but also in providing park enterprises with a directly usable green capability foundation.

TÜV SÜD’s Xu Hailiang delivers a keynote report on zero-carbon parks
During the zero-carbon park themed sharing session, TÜV SÜD’s Xu Hailiang noted that parks can reduce corporate carbon management and compliance costs through unified data platforms and management mechanisms, enhance energy security by coordinating green electricity, energy storage, and energy efficiency, and drive structural emission reductions through industrial clustering, resource recycling, and supply chain collaboration. On this basis, park construction needs to shift from a “construction-oriented” approach to a “demand-oriented” one, better addressing corporate needs in areas such as green electricity acceptance, data verifiability, external disclosure, and international communication.
Regarding the collaborative development of zero-carbon parks and enterprises, TÜV SÜD possesses full-chain carbon certification capabilities at the product, organization, and park levels. It has mature service experience in zero-carbon factory and park evaluation, product carbon footprint verification and certification, organizational carbon emission verification, carbon neutrality validation and verification, and green energy consumption verification. It has also established a closed-loop solution covering training and guidance, verification and diagnosis, park planning, emission reduction implementation, carbon neutrality achievement, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
In the future, TÜV SÜD will leverage its zero-carbon park service capabilities to assist more domestic industrial parks and enterprises in achieving a transformative leap from “single-point carbon reduction” to “systemic zero carbon,” working together to create more zero-carbon demonstration parks with international benchmark significance, and jointly moving toward a high-quality, sustainable net-zero future.
