TÜV SÜD Awards Witness Laboratory Certification for Energy Storage, Deepening Strategic Cooperation to Empower Industry Development

ShenzhenMay 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On May 13, at the 18th China International Battery Fair (hereinafter referred to as “CIBF 2026”), TÜV SÜD (hereinafter referred to as “TÜV SÜD”) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Xiamen Empirical Energy Storage Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Empirical Energy Storage”), and held the “TÜV SÜD Witnessed Laboratory” accreditation ceremony. The two parties will engage in in-depth cooperation in areas such as energy storage product testing and certification, technical capability coordination, standard research, and industrial innovation, jointly promoting the safe, standardized, and high-quality development of the energy storage industry as well as its globalization process. The Empirical Energy Storage laboratory has met the requirements for a testing laboratory in terms of testing equipment, hardware facilities, personnel capabilities, testing processes, and quality management systems, and has officially obtained the “TÜV SÜD Witnessed Laboratory” qualification. The laboratory’s testing capabilities cover areas related to energy storage battery systems and key components, enabling various tests such as safety, performance, and environmental reliability, providing technical support for the R&D verification and certification testing of energy storage products. This cooperation model will effectively enhance testing and certification efficiency, shorten the product market access cycle for international markets, reduce duplicate testing costs, and provide strong technical support for the export of Chinese energy storage products.

At the same time, during this ceremony, TÜV SÜD and Empirical Energy Storage formally reached a strategic cooperation.
