NanjingMay 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — ABB announced an investment in a new, modern campus in Nanjing, China. This campus will become ABB’s second drive product base in China, operating in synergy with the existing Beijing base. The new campus will integrate other ABB warehousing resources and house a customer experience center, an OEM business center for product and application demonstrations, customer testing and training facilities, as well as production and R&D facilities. The campus aims to further enhance ABB’s support for local customers, expand service capabilities, and more efficiently meet growing market demand. Additionally, higher levels of automation in drive product production will further boost the campus’s competitiveness.

China is one of ABB’s largest and most strategically significant markets, with strong growth potential across multiple industrial sectors. Approximately 85% of ABB’s products sold in China are already produced locally. This investment is a key step in strengthening ABB’s “In China, for China” strategy and aligns closely with China’s goals to improve industrial energy efficiency.
The new campus is located in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta, one of China’s most important industrial clusters, offering outstanding logistical advantages, well-developed transportation infrastructure, and a mature network of local suppliers. In the future, the Nanjing campus will work in coordination with ABB’s existing Beijing base to form a synergistic operational network, providing customers nationwide with stable and reliable drive product supply and comprehensive service support.
