In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study, a 286 mg dose of Caffinity (providing 200 mg of caffeine and coffee fruit polyphenols) significantly improved time trial performance in trained cyclists, with an average increase in total work output of nearly 5% compared to placebo (P < 0.05). Despite higher work output, post-exercise lactate was cleared more quickly, returning to baseline faster and promoting quicker recovery.
