Anta Group Releases 2025 ESG Report: FILA Builds China’s First Sustainable Tennis Court, Driving Sustainable Progress in Sports Fashion Through Full-Scene Closed-Loop Initiatives

QingdaoJune 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On the occasion of the 55th World Environment Day, Anta Group held its 2025 ESG Report Release Conference at China’s first sustainable tennis court, built with FILA’s naming sponsorship in Qingdao, marking the 11th consecutive year of publishing the “Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report”[1] (hereinafter referred to as the “Report”). At the event, FILA, under the theme “From Nature To Nature: Coexisting with Nature,” unveiled for the first time a comprehensive sustainable product matrix covering all age groups and multiple scenarios, including the FILA TENNIS Green Reborn Series, as well as the brand’s innovative achievements in three key areas: products, operations, and sports ecology.

Under Anta Group’s “1+3+5” sustainable development strategy framework, FILA has achieved its 2025 targets ahead of schedule. Guided by the action theme “From Nature to Nature: Coexisting with Nature,” FILA has built a complete closed loop encompassing sustainable products, sustainable store operations, and sustainable sports lifestyles. Jiang Limin, Vice President of Marketing for FILA Greater China, stated: “As a large-scale sportswear brand, we have a responsibility to drive positive change in the industry and lead the sustainable process through innovation. FILA’s advocacy of ‘Coexisting with Nature’ is a comprehensive practice that runs through products, retail, and lifestyles. Rooted in eco-friendly material R&D, sustainable products, and green operations, we are committed to creating a sustainable sports lifestyle that consumers can participate in and interact with, making every swing on the court and every venture into the wilderness a gentle echo of nature.”

China’s First Tennis Ball Recycling Closed-Loop System, Reshaping the Sustainable Sports Ecosystem

The venue for this release conference, FILA built China’s first sustainable tennis court made from recycled waste tennis balls. Over two months, the brand collected 20,600 discarded tennis balls from over 40 tennis clubs across 16 cities nationwide. Using an industry-first decomposition and regeneration technology, the rubber material from the tennis balls was successfully transformed into high-performance recycled EPDM granules to pave the court surface. The project achieved a carbon reduction equivalent of 12.36 tons, roughly equal to the annual carbon absorption of about 453 acres of forest, turning every swing by tennis enthusiasts into a gentle dialogue with nature. This tennis court, with its complete practice of “collection system + regeneration application + carbon accounting,” provides the industry with the first replicable sample of a tennis ball recycling closed loop, serving as a vivid testament to FILA’s innovative leadership in the sustainable sports ecosystem.

Centered around sports and lifestyle scenarios like tennis, FILA continues to create “Coexisting with Nature” member community event experiences. On the recent Earth Day, FILA hosted its first sustainable-themed “Style Tennis Match” at this sustainable tennis court. On the court, members played tennis under the clear coastal sky, while off the court, beach clean-up activities, tennis ball succulent pot transformations, and old clothing upcycling workshops unfolded in sequence. From the court to the seaside, from competition to co-creation, sustainability is no longer just a concept but a daily practice that can be participated in and touched.

From Children to Adults, Sustainable Products Account for Nearly 50%, Over 80% of Packaging Uses Eco-Friendly Materials

FILA believes that sustainability is not a choice for a few but a common language for all consumer groups. The report shows that in 2025, FILA’s sustainable products accounted for 48.8%, an increase of nearly 20 percentage points in three years. Products such as the FILA Cat’s Paw Shoe 6th Generation, FILA KIDS Cat’s Paw Cotton Shoe, and FILA EXPLORE Knitted Short-Sleeve Top incorporate eco-friendly concepts into design and wearing experience by adding EVA bio-based materials to soles and using recycled materials like recycled polyester fibers in fabrics. Meanwhile, the brand continues to invest in material technology and eco-friendly packaging transformations, with the proportion of sustainable packaging products exceeding 80%[2], both achieving the group’s annual targets ahead of schedule. Additionally, 100% of the down materials used by FILA are RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified.

In 2026, under the “ONE FILA Strategy” direction, from children to adults, from tennis courts to outdoor camping and trendy lifestyles, FILA is introducing a richer, all-age, multi-scenario sustainable product matrix:

On the Tennis Court: The FILA TENNIS Green Reborn Series launched at this event includes the brand’s century-spanning legendary classic items: the Grand Slam Polo Shirt, Susan Tennis Skirt, and Court Vest. These items innovatively use eco-friendly polyester made from 30% recycled PET plastic bottles in the fabric, achieving a green “rebirth.” Compared to virgin polyester, the production process of recycled polyester significantly reduces carbon emissions, reducing reliance on non-renewable resources like petroleum from the source. FILA reshapes professional classics with sustainable concepts, allowing environmental commitments to support uninhibited play and performance on the court.

The FILA KIDS stream-trekking short-sleeve shirt features 89% recycled synthetic fibers in the fabric, combining moisture-wicking and quick-drying functions, encouraging children to get close to and protect nature.

Fashion and Trends: The FILA VETTA eco-friendly limited edition shoe features a large area of “Gufei Leather,” a natural, biodegradable mycelium-based bio-based eco-friendly leather material on the upper. The FILA FUSION moonge Sloppy Dog T co-branded series uses innovative technologies like a blend of natural cotton fibers and SORONA® regenerated cellulose fibers, making environmental protection an expression of style and personality.

Furthermore, FILA announced that by 2026, it will achieve 100% FSC certification for its footwear packaging and garment factory cartons. Over the next three years, it will heavily invest in the ECO-X sustainable fabric technology platform, collaborating with global partners to focus on four major technological directions (Eco Bio bio-based, Eco Degrade biodegradable, Eco Reuse resource recycling, Eco Revo microorganisms) to develop future eco-friendly technological materials that “come from nature and return to nature.”

From 2023 to 2025, stores reduced waste landfill by 35% through the recycling and reuse of materials, giving more old items a “second life.” The shipment process from self-operated warehouses to FILA stores has achieved paperless operation, reducing paper consumption by a cumulative 16,000 kilograms to date, equivalent to saving 272 trees.

From eco-friendly products and packaging to green store operations and the construction of a sustainable sports ecosystem, FILA is fulfilling its commitment to the environment and society with a long-term perspective. In the future, FILA will continue to advance its brand expression of coexisting with nature, leading the sustainable process of sportswear through a more inclusive product system and richer sports lifestyle scenarios.
