BeijingJune 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — CP FOTON recently held an official launch event in Bangkok, Thailand, unveiling its eView Connect new energy truck. Senior leaders from CP Group and Foton International, along with initial customers, strategic partners, financial partners, national dealers, and local media, attended the event to witness this significant milestone in the electrification of commercial vehicles in Southeast Asia by BAIC Foton.
The Thai government is fully promoting the green transition, and the “30@30” target proposed by the Thailand Electric Vehicle Policy Committee has become a guiding principle for the industry.
In response to the current state of local charging infrastructure in Thailand, the eView Connect is equipped with CATL’s third-generation liquid-cooled battery, supporting a 2C charging rate. The model offers two battery capacity options — 50.23 kWh and 66.67 kWh — and supports both AC slow charging and DC fast charging. The battery comes with an extended warranty of 8 years or 400,000 kilometers. In the future, CP FOTON also plans to explore the development of a battery-swap version based on customer usage scenarios. Additionally, the model is built on a new pure electric platform, featuring comprehensive upgrades in smart configurations and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) performance systems, significantly enhancing driving comfort.
At the launch event, CP FOTON delivered the first batch of vehicles to five local companies in the logistics, retail, and leasing industries. Meanwhile, the company also signed strategic cooperation memorandums of understanding with Spark EV and Huawei.
- Collaboration with Spark EV: Spark EV is the fastest-growing charging network operator in Thailand, with a leading ultra-fast charging station network, positioned as “full liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging + backbone charging station network + 50 km nationwide coverage.” The two parties will focus on building charging stations for trunk logistics of medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
- In-depth cooperation with Huawei: Leveraging Huawei’s globally leading ultra-fast charging technology — Huawei is not only a strategic technology partner of Spark EV, but its full liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging solutions have been widely deployed in multiple locations in Thailand, including Bangkok, Pattaya, and Chiang Mai, playing a key role in driving the electrification of Thailand’s automotive industry.
Founded in 2019, CP FOTON has achieved stable localized production and product deployment. As a key milestone in BAIC Foton’s internationalization efforts, this launch will use Thailand as a hub to improve comprehensive service systems and promote low-carbon development in the logistics sector across the Asia-Pacific region.
