ShanghaiJune 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Recently, the fourth Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Technology, Products, and Achievements Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Carbon Expo) was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. As the only beauty company to participate for four consecutive years, L’Oréal, under the theme “Beauty that Moves the Heart, Actions for the Planet,” presented a panoramic display of its sustainable practices across the entire value chain. A large set of refill cartridge posters at the booth attracted many visitors to stop and take photos. On the other side of the booth, the names and carbon reduction achievements of six supplier companies were detailed—these are the winners of L’Oréal’s “Tomorrow’s Partner” award, presented for the fourth consecutive year.
Kingfa Technology, Rokin Logistics… These partners from different fields are supporting and achieving mutual success with L’Oréal on a green transformation path that is far from smooth.

“High Demands” Drive “True Capabilities”
“The pressure was immense at the start,” recalls Kingfa Technology. When engaging with L’Oréal in 2019, the company set clear expectations and thresholds for suppliers regarding international authoritative ratings such as CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) and EcoVadis, and required the development of food-contact-grade recycled polyolefin materials—a feat with virtually no precedent in China’s recycled plastics industry at the time. Facing a series of technical and systemic challenges, including raw material source control, odor and contaminant removal, Kingfa Technology chose to rise to the occasion, simultaneously advancing innovations across management, technology, and the supply chain: benchmarking L’Oréal’s “L4TF” plan to establish a dedicated carbon management team and formulate a quantitative emission reduction roadmap; redesigning and upgrading washing and pelletizing production lines to strengthen hazardous substance and odor control processes; and building a full-chain traceability system from waste collection to final product. Ultimately, the company’s self-developed recycled polyolefin material successfully obtained FDA food-contact-grade certification, not only precisely meeting L’Oréal’s product needs but also becoming a technological benchmark in China’s recycled plastics sector.
Unlike Kingfa Technology’s innovation in materials, Rokin Logistics’ green transformation focuses on energy restructuring in logistics and transportation scenarios. As a strategic partner collaborating with L’Oréal for over 22 years, the two companies began exploring green logistics as early as 2013. At that time, the biggest challenge posed by L’Oréal’s green and low-carbon requirements for the company was not simply equipment investment, but systemic capacity building—how to restructure the energy mix, establish a carbon management system, and achieve data transparency while ensuring service timeliness and quality. This required coordination across multiple dimensions, including vehicle upgrades, infrastructure support, personnel training, and customer data integration. Rokin ultimately developed a cooperation model with L’Oréal characterized by “joint investment, collaborative operations, and data sharing.” After practical testing of rail-road intermodal transport, LNG vehicles, hydrogen vehicles, and pure electric heavy trucks, carbon emissions in the transportation phase have now been reduced by over 60%.
Carbon Reduction Has “Data,” Trust Has “Value”
As of 2025, Kingfa Technology’s carbon emission intensity per unit of domestic modified plastic products has decreased by 29.32% compared to 2022, photovoltaic power generation has increased by 250.33% compared to 2024, its S&P CSA ESG score ranks among the top 20% in the global chemical industry, and it has been successfully selected for the CDP Global A List. Being recognized as a L’Oréal “Tomorrow’s Partner” Carbon Reduction Pioneer not only affirms the achievements of the collaboration but also allows Kingfa Technology’s “Full Utilization of Plastics” integrated solution to share China’s circular economy experience with the entire industry through the Carbon Expo platform.
Rokin Logistics has obtained SBTi science-based carbon target certification, with carbon emission intensity in 2025 decreasing by over 15% compared to 2020. Over 50% of its electric vehicle charging uses green electricity, and carbon emissions in the transportation phase have been reduced by over 60%. Additionally, due to lower refueling costs, Rokin’s initial vehicle investment can be quickly amortized, further shortening the return on investment cycle. By combining an intelligent dispatch system with fixed charging points, vehicle utilization rates and on-time performance remain stable.
Discussing their cooperation with L’Oréal, both companies stated that L’Oréal’s role goes beyond being a demanding client; it is a “co-creator.” From regular training and data alignment to award guidance, L’Oréal helps suppliers fully develop and implement their carbon reduction pathways. And these requirements are still escalating—zero-carbon transportation is already in the planning stages.
“Tomorrow’s Partners,” Moving Forward Together
At the Carbon Expo, L’Oréal North Asia and China Chief Sustainability Officer Park Ji-sun stated: “When sustainable choices are clear, visible, and easy to make, consumers are more likely to commit to them.” The same holds true for suppliers—when carbon reduction pathways are validated, shared, and recognized, more partners are willing to join the effort.
Just as L’Oréal repeatedly emphasized at the Carbon Expo with the term “Tomorrow’s Partner”—tomorrow is not something to wait for; it is something we create together today.
