Under the guidance of the national dual-carbon strategy, industrial energy conservation and green manufacturing are steadily advancing. The efficient upgrade of compressed air systems has become a key direction for the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry. To further strengthen the foundation for standardized industry development, unify product technical indicators, testing methods, and acceptance specifications, and promote technological upgrades and healthy growth within the industry, the drafting of industry standards for zero-purge drying equipment has officially commenced.

Energy efficiency is a core concept in Atlas Copco’s product research and development. The company has deeply invested in zero-purge drying technology, establishing a comprehensive product portfolio that covers three series of zero-purge adsorption dryers: the BD/BD+ZP heated blower series, the MD/ND/MDG compression heat drum series, and the XE/XD ZP compression heat twin-tower series. These products are designed to fully meet diverse air quality needs across various industries.

With mature product technology and comprehensive supporting solutions, Atlas Copco’s zero-purge drying equipment has been deployed in over 50 first-level energy-efficient compressed air stations nationwide, with nearly 180 units installed. These systems are widely used in industries such as new energy, automotive, pharmaceuticals, food, petrochemicals, and high-end electronics, making them a preferred choice for building efficient and energy-saving compressed air stations. The extensive project application cases provide valuable practical references for the development of industry standards.

During the drafting process, Atlas Copco integrates its cutting-edge technological achievements, product test data, and years of industry application experience into the standard-setting process, helping to establish scientifically sound product technical and energy efficiency criteria, and driving technological unification and quality improvement across the industry.

A representative from Atlas Copco stated that participation in drafting the industry standard is a full recognition of the company’s technical strength and product advantages. In the future, the company will continue to leverage the opportunity of standardization, persist in technological innovation and iteration, and continuously optimize energy-saving air source solutions. This will support the construction of green factories and zero-carbon industrial parks, contributing to the low-carbon and sustainable development of China’s industry through standardized products and technologies.
