BeijingJune 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On June 13, 2026, the National Finals of the IMA (15th) Campus Management Accounting Case Competition were successfully held in the Canal Business District of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center.
Since its launch in October 2025, this competition has precisely captured the pulse of the times, moving the arena directly to the “eye of the storm” of digital transformation and industrial upgrading. This was not merely a case analysis but a high-pressure “business practice rehearsal.” On the day of the finals, distinguished attendees included Wang Zheng, Director of the Canal Business District Management Committee of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center; Wang Peigong, Deputy Director of the Industry Promotion Division of the Party Working Committee and Management Committee of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center; Wang Ying, Deputy Director of the Beijing Financial Development Promotion Center; Li Gang, Vice President of IMA and Chief Representative for China; Li Bing, Deputy Branch Manager of the Beijing Tongzhou Sub-branch of Postal Savings Bank of China; and Cheng Caixia, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Tong Development Talent Technology Co., Ltd. The judging panel comprised Zhou Yun, Associate Professor at Beijing National Accounting Institute; Dai Lu, Associate Professor in the Accounting Department of Renmin University of China’s Business School; Song Jindi (CMA), Director of TPV Technology Co., Ltd.; Xie Baojun (CMA), Director of the Business Management Division of the Financial Shared Center of China Huadian Corporation Ltd.; and Li Lihua (CMA), Senior Finance Director of Zhaopin Limited. Zhao Yiqing, Vice Dean of the School of Accounting at Capital University of Economics and Business, served as the host for the competition.
Nearly a hundred professionals, including numerous outstanding CMAs, team advisors, and contestants, participated in the event. The gathering of guests and young talents not only underscored the industry’s high regard for management accounting talent cultivation but also vividly reflected the broad consensus on collaborative innovation in financial management across government, industry, academia, and research. In his address, Wang Peigong, Deputy Director of the Industry Promotion Division of the Party Working Committee and Management Committee of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, warmly welcomed the participating teams from across the country. Drawing on the corporate culture of the Beijing Branch of Postal Savings Bank of China, she shared specific management policies and long-term practices regarding talent development and support for financial accounting professionals. She stated that the Beijing Branch will continue to deepen the integration of industry and education, actively build university-enterprise cooperation platforms, and cultivate and supply more high-quality, versatile talent to the industry, jointly promoting the high-quality development of financial and accounting endeavors.
In the highly anticipated case competition segment, champion teams from seven major regional divisions across the country took the stage one by one, engaging in a high-level professional showdown. Grounded in real business scenarios, each team delivered logically rigorous and uniquely insightful case presentations, fully showcasing the solid professional competence and sharp business acumen of contemporary finance and accounting students. Facing incisive critiques and challenging impromptu questions from the judges, the contestants responded calmly and fluently, sparking innovative ideas through intellectual collisions. Each team demonstrated their strengths on stage, whether in data modeling or strategic analysis, earning unanimous recognition from the attending guests. Experts at the event noted that the level of case analysis presented by this year’s contestants far exceeded expectations, fully reflecting the vitality and immense potential of the next generation of management accounting talent.
Concurrently with the judges’ deliberations, Cheng Caixia, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Tong Development Talent Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a presentation on youth talent development policies for Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, offering an in-depth interpretation of the region’s sincerity and measures in attracting talent. She pointed out that Tongzhou District is advancing the implementation of the “Canal Talent Plan 2.0” and youth reserve talent policies from a higher strategic standpoint, striving to build a full-cycle support system encompassing “settlement, career development, and growth.” This series of policies not only demonstrates the district’s open-minded approach to “gathering talents from all over the world” but also conveys a firm determination to create a youth-friendly city. After an exciting competition, the Say Yes team from Beijing Normal University won the national championship with outstanding performance. The Pioneer team from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics secured the first prize. The FabFive team from Huazhong University of Science and Technology won the second prize. The Go straight forward team from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, the IMA-Zing team from Lanzhou University, the Substance team from Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, and the NaviGrowth team from Ningbo University of Finance and Economics received the third prize.
Zhou Yun, Associate Professor at Beijing National Accounting Institute and head of the judging panel, highly commended the performance of all teams throughout the competition and encouraged the students to keep up their efforts.
