Core Equipment for First Wind Project Shipping to Chile
Chile is a pioneer in Latin America’s energy transition, with a government target of achieving 70% renewable energy by 2030. The country boasts excellent wind energy resources and a clear policy framework, creating stable demand for wind power equipment. For this project, the technical solution was tailored to Chile’s unique geographical and climatic conditions, ensuring reliable operation of the equipment in complex environments. This ability to customize technology to local conditions is key to Chinese wind power enterprises winning the trust of international customers.
This is not SANY Heavy Energy’s first transoceanic shipment. Since accelerating its global expansion in 2022, the company has established subsidiaries and localized teams in Europe, South Asia, Central Asia, and Africa, forming a delivery system covering major global markets. Currently, SANY Group has set up 17 manufacturing bases overseas, with over 900 service outlets and approximately 1,000 spare parts warehouses. Its global competitiveness has extended across the entire value chain, from R&D and design, product validation, and intelligent manufacturing to supply assurance and delivery capabilities.
These capabilities are supported by major technological facilities, including the world’s first smart manufacturing lighthouse factory for wind turbine blades, and China’s first and the world’s largest 35 MW six-degree-of-freedom full-machine test rig. In the broader heavy equipment sector, SANY recently delivered a 400-ton SY4000H hydraulic mining excavator to an overseas customer, marking a significant breakthrough in the global high-end mining machinery market. The company also delivered its first SY1250H large mining excavator in Europe, which is now operational at an open-pit coal mine.
As renewable energy reshapes the global landscape, SANY remains committed to delivering technologies that empower sustainable development and drive industrial progress. Through close collaboration with customers, partners, and local communities, the company strives to create lasting value beyond products and projects, helping to build a future where economic growth and ecological responsibility go hand in hand.
