For the first time, users could book their ideal stays, explore cities with local hosts, and enjoy exclusive services like private chef dinners, all in one place on Airbnb. Now, millions of people worldwide have started their journeys in this new way.

This summer, we are taking it a step further: launching multiple new service categories to make the entire journey smoother and more convenient; and continuing to expand exclusive Airbnb experiences, introducing a series of new activities only available on Airbnb—including exclusive experiences for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. We will also bring boutique and independent hotels to the Airbnb platform. Additionally, the Airbnb App will be upgraded with AI-powered tools to help users find ideal accommodations and plan trips.

New Airbnb Services for a Hassle-Free Journey

A great travel experience begins long before check-in. That’s why we are adding new services at every stage of the journey, from arrival to departure, making everything easier for you. The following new service categories will debut first, with more to be launched within the year.

• Grocery Delivery: Pre-order groceries to be delivered simultaneously with your check-in at an Airbnb stay; you can also place orders anytime during your stay. In select cities, hosts can receive your orders and store them properly before check-in. Through a partnership with Instacart, users can enjoy this service in over 25 cities in the United States. Airbnb users get free delivery and a $10 discount on orders over $50^[1].
• Airport Transfers: Airbnb users can book round-trip airport transfers to and from their Airbnb stays via Welcome Pickups. Drivers track your flight in real-time and greet you upon landing. This service is now available in over 160 cities worldwide. Airbnb users get a 20% discount on every ride^[2].
• Luggage Storage: Airbnb partners with Bounce to offer luggage storage before check-in and after checkout. Users can view nearby storage points and their distance from the stay in the Airbnb App. This service covers over 15,000 storage points in 175 cities, with a 15% discount for Airbnb users^[3].
• Car Rentals: Nearly one in four Airbnb guests rent a car during their stay^[4]. Starting this summer, you can rent a car directly in the Airbnb App. We will show available vehicles near your stay and recommend suitable models based on group size. First-time car rentals on Airbnb earn you 20% of the order amount as Airbnb travel credit for your next booking of stays, experiences, or select services.

Exclusive Experiences, Only on Airbnb

Airbnb Experiences are highly popular among guests, with an average rating of 4.93 stars (out of 5)^[5]. This summer, we are adding thousands of unique experiences led by local hosts, covering the three most popular categories among travelers: landmark attractions, food culture, and exciting activities.

• Explore Landmarks with Airbnb: Over 75% of travelers visit local landmarks when they arrive in a new city^[6]. Now, hosts with deep local knowledge will take you to explore world-famous landmarks in a more in-depth and unique way. Airbnb has launched over 3,000 landmark experiences, covering iconic sites like the Tower of London, Tokyo Skytree, and the Taj Mahal.
• Savor Global Food Culture: Airbnb has introduced over 2,500 food culture experiences, taking you into kitchens, exploring markets, and immersing you in a city’s culinary scene. Partnering with Chef’s Table and Los Angeles’ Grand Central Market, you can follow Chef Gianfranco Pascucci from Rome’s Michelin-starred Pascucci al Porticciolo for a 6-course food and wine pairing, or visit the world-renowned De Vie Bar in Paris to mix your own cocktails.
• 2026 FIFA World Cup: We are offering once-in-a-lifetime FIFA World Cup experiences across 6 host cities. You can attend an intimate viewing party in Los Angeles with Women’s World Cup champions Abby Wambach and Julie Foudy to watch the U.S. take on Australia, or step onto the pitch to train with Argentine football legend and former Inter Miami head coach Javier Mascherano.

This summer, thousands of boutique and independent hotels will be listed on Airbnb. Guests can discover quality hotels in 20 popular global destinations, including New York, Paris, London, Madrid, Rome, and Singapore, with more cities to be added within the year. Each hotel is carefully selected based on its neighborhood, design style, and hospitality.

• Hotels with an Airbnb Vibe: Browse and book curated hotels in popular neighborhoods worldwide. Each hotel is handpicked by Airbnb, excluding large chain brands.
• Price Protection: If you find a lower price for the same hotel on another platform, we will refund the difference as Airbnb travel credit^[7].
• Earn Up to 15% Travel Credit on Hotel Bookings: Book any selected hotel to earn up to 15% of the room rate as travel credit for your next Airbnb stay. This offer is now available in major cities worldwide and will expand to more destinations in the future.^[8]

Airbnb App Upgrade: Making Travel from Discovery to Planning to Departure Easier Every Step

Open the Airbnb App, and the new homepage brings together all features and services. From finding your ideal stay to planning a trip with friends and family, every step becomes easier and more convenient.

• AI-Curated Review Highlights: Airbnb has over 1 billion reviews from guests and hosts. Now, you don’t need to read every review before booking. Our system aggregates reviews for each stay to extract the information most relevant to you, such as location, amenities, and family-friendliness.
• AI Smart Comparison: Save your favorite stays to a wishlist, and we’ll help you choose the best accommodation for your trip. A new comparison view generates AI summaries for each stay, adding key details like location and standout amenities, so you can make quick decisions. This feature will launch later this year.
• Shared Itinerary: Traveling with friends and family? Trip planning becomes simpler. A new map in the “Trips“ tab shows your bookings, along with nearby restaurants, experiences, and activities, and indicates travel time from your stay to these locations.
• Travel Circle and Travel Map: The best travel inspiration often comes from people you trust. You can add friends and family as “Travel Circle“ contacts. Click on any trip to see what they’ve booked and their reviews. You can also message your “Travel Circle“ contacts directly to ask for recommendations. This feature is planned for launch this summer.

The new “Airbnb Services“, “Airbnb Experiences“, and boutique hotels are now available in select countries and regions globally. Car rental services, the new homepage, shared itineraries, and more features in the App are expected to roll out gradually this summer.
