Black Sesame Intelligent and China Telecom’s Transportation Division Form Strategic Partnership, Launch Localized Integrated Communication, Sensing, and Computing Device

SHANGHAIApr. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On April 22, the opening day of the 16th China International Road Traffic Safety Products Expo (hereinafter referred to as the “Traffic Expo”), Black Sesame Intelligent Technologies (Black Sesame) and Tianyi Transportation Technology Co., Ltd. (Tianyi Transportation) entered into a strategic cooperation and jointly launched the Qinghong series of integrated communication-sensing-computing devices. This collaboration marks another step by Black Sesame in deepening its pan-AI business layout, anchored in the vehicle-road-cloud integration framework.

Black Sesame specializes in AI computing platforms, possessing profound technical expertise, a comprehensive product portfolio, and mass production experience in the field of intelligent automotive computing chips. Currently, the company is proactively expanding into embodied intelligence and the broader pan-AI domain, accelerating the large-scale deployment of edge-side AI computing across a wider range of physical scenarios. Tianyi Transportation, jointly established by China Telecom and the local state-owned platform Xiandao Chantou, positions itself as an intelligent transportation operation and service provider for autonomous driving. It offers large-scale applications and scenario-based solutions such as vehicle-road-cloud integration, highway digitalization, L4 low-speed autonomous driving, and low-altitude detection to governments, automakers, and vertical industry clients.

Through this cooperation, the two parties will engage in strategic collaboration across industrial technological innovation, project cooperation, standard development, and market promotion. This includes jointly creating vehicle-road-cloud integrated demonstration projects, exploring applications for autonomous driving technology, and integrating R&D resources. Leveraging their respective strengths in industrial resources, advanced technology, demonstration applications, and commercial expansion, Black Sesame and Tianyi Transportation will focus on areas such as VLA (Vehicle Localization and Awareness) R&D for autonomous driving, integrated communication-sensing-computing device R&D, and MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing) R&D to promote the common development of the industrial ecosystem.

The newly launched Qinghong series of integrated communication-sensing-computing devices is built upon Black Sesame’s high-performance, low-power, and cost-effective automotive-grade chip platform. It supports pure vision or vision + 3D millimeter-wave radar fusion perception, can be flexibly extended with V2X/5G, and features easy deployment. It meets the perception needs of smart cities and vehicle-road coordination, applicable for traffic participant identification, traffic event recognition, and infrastructure anomaly detection. Specifically, the Qinghong QH001 model adopts a vision + 3D millimeter-wave radar fusion solution with a coverage distance of up to 380 meters; the Qinghong QH002 model uses a pure vision solution with a coverage distance reaching 500 meters.
