30th Anniversary Special Edition MR-G FROGMAN Diving Watch with ISO 200m Water Resistance
TOKYOMay 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today the release of a new MR-G watch, further expanding its flagship G-SHOCK shock-resistant watch lineup. The new model, MRG-BF1000EB, draws design inspiration from the unique natural phenomenon of brinicles, which form beneath the sea surface in polar regions.

The MR-G FROGMAN series is a mature, fully functional shock-resistant diving watch that combines cutting-edge technology with Japanese craftsmanship, meeting the demands of diving enthusiasts for top-tier performance.
The new MRG-BF1000EB watch takes its design theme from brinicles, also known as ice stalactites. This rare phenomenon naturally forms beneath the sea surface in frigid polar waters, taking on a downward-extending columnar shape.
The bezel is crafted from COBARION alloy, which is approximately four times harder than pure titanium. Under the supervision of master cutter and polisher Kazuhito Komatsu, the bezel is hand-finished with precision faceted cuts. The intricate, staggered cut textures, combined with a wear-resistant blue arc ion-plated coating, create a dynamic spiral texture that vividly recreates the mysterious swirling form of a brinicle.
The two front screws highlight the unique asymmetry of the FROGMAN design, with each screw set with a lab-grown sapphire. These sapphires feature 57 facets in a round brilliant cut, exuding a luxurious sparkle.
The watch case back is engraved with the classic FROGMAN diver frog motif, along with the “MR-G 30TH” (30th anniversary of the MR-G series) logo and an exclusive individual serial number. This watch is limited to 800 pieces worldwide.
The watch comes with two interchangeable bands to suit various outfit scenarios: a flexible, comfortable band (Dura-Soft Band) that resists discoloration, dirt, and aging, as well as a titanium metal band with a heavy, metallic luster. The watch body, replacement titanium band, and band removal tool are all housed in a special co-branded case developed by Casio in collaboration with Japanese high-end luggage brand Proteca, fully showcasing the extraordinary style of this commemorative collection watch.
