Deepening China-Germany Inspection and Testing International Cooperation to Empower High-Quality Industry Development
MunichMay 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — To thoroughly implement the strategy of strengthening the country through quality, advance the internationalization of China’s inspection and testing industry, and deepen standard alignment, technical mutual learning, and industrial collaboration between China and Germany in the quality inspection field, on May 21, 2026, a delegation led by the Secretary-General of the China Inspection and Testing Society (CITS) visited the global headquarters of TÜV SÜD in Munich, Germany, for exchange and technical alignment activities.

During the exchange meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics including industry development trends, standard system construction, and international cooperation mechanisms. The Chinese delegation introduced the latest policy directions in China’s inspection and testing industry, achievements in standardization, progress in standard development, and quality inspection service demands in emerging fields such as new energy, smart manufacturing, and green low-carbon initiatives. They also elaborated on the society’s key work and future plans in academic leadership, technological innovation, and international resource alignment.
Alexander Lutter, Vice President of Global Strategic Accounts and Excellence Sales Management Europe at TÜV SÜD; Zhang Yang, Key Account Manager for Central Europe at TÜV SÜD; and Eric Tolcach, Head of Global Sustainability Assurance and Verification at TÜV SÜD, received the Chinese delegation. The German side provided a detailed introduction to the company’s cutting-edge technological achievements in areas such as aerospace, supporting Chinese enterprises in their global expansion with stability and sustainability, and value-added empowerment.
Both sides focused on in-depth discussions across five key cooperation directions: China-Germany standard alignment and mutual recognition, cross-border inspection and certification coordination, technological breakthroughs in emerging industries, professional talent exchange and training, and green quality inspection service innovation. They precisely addressed hot industry topics such as compliance for new energy product exports, industrial inspection technology upgrades, and quality inspection empowerment in the dual-carbon field, drawing on Germany’s advanced quality management and standardization service experience to broaden ideas for aligning China’s inspection and testing industry with high-level international standards.
This visit represents a significant and practical step in building an international cooperation framework. Through face-to-face high-level engagement, it further solidified the foundation of mutual trust and cooperation between both sides, facilitating a two-way exchange channel for quality inspection technology, standards, and resources between China and Germany.
Going forward, both parties will continue to build on their functional roles, deepen pragmatic cooperation with top international quality inspection institutions, promote mutual recognition of standards, technical interoperability, and resource sharing between China and foreign countries, continuously enhance the international service capabilities of China’s inspection and testing industry, support domestic industrial upgrading and high-quality capacity exports, and empower foreign trade and high-quality industrial development through top-tier quality inspection services.
