- Europe’s largest power semiconductor exhibition will be held in Nuremberg, Germany, from June 9 to 11
- Showcasing the latest advancements in silicon carbide and gallium nitride, highlighting its power semiconductor capabilities
Seoul, South KoreaApril 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — DB HiTek, a leading 8-inch pure-play foundry, announced its participation in PCIM Europe 2026, the premier exhibition for power semiconductors in Europe. The event will take place from June 9 to 11 (local time) in Nuremberg, Germany, marking the company’s continued expansion of its business footprint in the European market.
Following a successful debut at the 2025 PCIM exhibition—where the company held face-to-face meetings with dozens of clients to discuss process technologies and collaboration opportunities—DB HiTek is now building on that momentum. With over 1,000 visitors to its booth last year and ongoing business negotiations, the company expects to convert these interactions into tangible commercial outcomes this year by deepening partnerships.
At this year’s exhibition, DB HiTek will showcase the development progress of its next-generation silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) processes. The company will also highlight its industry-leading BCDMOS (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) technology, a core strength of its power management product portfolio. Currently, DB HiTek has scheduled a packed agenda of meetings with global clients, underscoring the continued deepening and expansion of these collaborations.
According to data from market research firm Yole Développement, the global SiC and GaN power semiconductor market is poised for rapid growth. The SiC market is expected to grow from approximately $4.8 billion in 2026 to $10.4 billion by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21%. Over the same period, the GaN market is projected to expand from $900 million to $2.9 billion, with a CAGR of 33%.
In December 2025, DB HiTek launched multi-project wafer (MPW) runs for its SiC and GaN processes, producing samples for over ten customer products. These samples were delivered between March and April 2026. Customers are currently conducting evaluations, and the feedback will be incorporated into the final process qualification phase. DB HiTek plans to commence full-scale mass production in 2027.
Currently, DB HiTek maintains mass production partnerships with approximately 400 clients, with a primary focus on its flagship power semiconductor products. Additionally, the company leverages its specialized image sensor technology to collaborate with a broad customer base across areas such as X-ray, global shutter, and single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) technologies. As demand for industrial and automotive-grade products continues to rise, DB HiTek’s product application structure is increasingly shifting toward these two sectors.
