This collaboration will further strengthen Everest Medicines’ Asia-Pacific market presence in areas such as nephrology and autoimmune diseases, creating synergies with its existing nephrology pipeline. Leveraging its proven clinical development and commercialization capabilities, the Company will accelerate the market access and commercialization of Beijiexin®, continuously unlocking growth potential in the Asia-Pacific region and advancing its long-term strategic development in the global innovative drug market.

Under the agreement, Everest Medicines will pay Mabworks an upfront payment of RMB 23 million, along with sales milestone payments of up to RMB 186 million. Mabworks is eligible to receive a share of the gross profit from sales of the product in the Asia-Pacific region.

Beijiexin® is an innovative third-generation CD20 antibody drug independently developed by Mabworks. It was approved for marketing in China in February 2026 for the treatment of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), making it the world’s first CD20 antibody approved for this disease and the first domestically produced drug for this indication in China. The new drug application (NDA) for Beijiexin® in the treatment of primary membranous nephropathy (PMN) is also under “priority review and approval” by China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), with the potential to become the world’s first approved specific drug for PMN. Additionally, Beijiexin® is undergoing Phase III clinical trials covering multiple therapeutic areas, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and follicular lymphoma (FL), with potential for further expansion into other autoimmune diseases.

Mr. Wu Yifang, Chairman of the Board of Everest Medicines, stated: “We are very pleased to reach this collaboration with Mabworks for Beijiexin®. Beijiexin® is not only the world’s first approved CD20 antibody for treating NMOSD but also an innovative drug with differentiated advantages and broad market potential, demonstrating significant clinical promise in nephrology and autoimmune diseases.

This collaboration will further enrich Everest Medicines’ product portfolio in nephrology and autoimmune fields, creating strong synergies with our existing pipeline. Leveraging our established and continuously strengthened clinical development and commercialization capabilities, we are confident in accelerating the development and commercialization of Beijiexin® in the Asia-Pacific region, bringing it to more patients as soon as possible, transforming innovative therapies into clinical accessibility, and further enhancing our influence in the Asia-Pacific and global innovative drug markets.”

Mr. Chen Luning, President of Mabworks, stated: “We are delighted to reach this collaboration with Everest Medicines for Beijiexin® in the Asia-Pacific region. As the world’s first approved CD20-targeted drug for treating NMOSD and a potential first-in-class specific drug for PMN, Beijiexin® boasts outstanding product competitiveness and market potential. Since its launch, Beijiexin® has achieved excellent commercial results in mainland China. This collaboration will further strengthen Beijiexin®‘s commercial network and brand influence across the Asia-Pacific market, bringing ‘new’ hope to more patients with nephrology and autoimmune diseases outside mainland China.”

Beijiexin® has demonstrated significant clinical and therapeutic value in nephrology and multiple autoimmune diseases, with broad potential for indication expansion. Its ongoing development and progress in NMOSD, PMN, and SLE are expected to offer patients more innovative treatment options.

NMOSD is a central nervous system autoimmune disease with high relapse rates and high disability rates, commonly affecting young and middle-aged women. The disease typically has an acute or subacute onset and can progress rapidly, with approximately 90% of patients experiencing relapse within three years, potentially leading to blindness or paralysis in severe cases. Beijiexin® has shown significant advantages in reducing relapse risk as a monotherapy, with excellent efficacy data highlighting its clinical value and treatment convenience as a standalone therapy.

PMN is the most common pathological type of adult kidney disease, with approximately 30%-40% of patients potentially progressing to end-stage renal disease within 5-15 years. Currently, there are no approved specific drugs globally. Phase III clinical studies have shown that Beijiexin® monotherapy demonstrates significant advantages in various indicators, including complete clinical remission, complete immunological remission, and clinical remission. Additionally, Beijiexin® has a favorable safety and tolerability profile, with a convenient dosing schedule—patients only need intravenous injections once every six months after initial treatment—significantly reducing treatment burden and improving long-term compliance.

SLE is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease. Beijiexin® is currently in Phase III clinical studies, with a long dosing interval advantage of 24-28 weeks, meeting patients’ clinical needs for long-acting treatment regimens and potentially offering better treatment options for SLE patients.

About Beijiexin®

Beijiexin® for the treatment of primary membranous nephropathy (PMN) was included in the “Breakthrough Therapy” drug category by China’s National Medical Products Administration in October 2025, becoming the first domestically produced drug to receive this designation in the nephrology field. Its NDA is currently under “priority review and approval,” with the potential to become the world’s first approved specific drug for treating PMN.
