Dr. Luisa Salter-Cid brings over 20 years of distinguished leadership experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, having held senior management positions at Flagship Pioneering, Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), and Gossamer Bio, among others. She possesses deep expertise in immunology and immuno-oncology, with a proven track record of successfully translating scientific discoveries into clinical-stage drug candidates.
Dr. Salter-Cid currently serves as a Venture Partner at Osage University Partners (OUP), a top-tier venture capital firm focused on investing in the commercialization of university research. Previously, she was Chief Scientific Officer at Pioneering Medicines, a Flagship Pioneering initiative, where she led the development of breakthrough therapeutics leveraging the diverse scientific platforms within the Flagship ecosystem. Prior to joining Flagship, she served as Chief Scientific Officer at Gossamer Bio, playing a key role in building the company’s immunology and immuno-oncology portfolio.
Dr. Salter-Cid’s tenure at Bristol Myers Squibb further underscores her exceptional capabilities. Over a 13-year period, she served as Vice President and Head of Immunology, Small Molecule Immuno-Oncology, and Genomics Discovery. In this role, she led her team to successfully advance more than 20 compounds into clinical development. Throughout her career, Dr. Salter-Cid has published over 90 papers and holds multiple patents.
