ShanghaiJune 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Abbisko Therapeutics Co., Ltd. (“Abbisko Therapeutics,” HKEX: 02256) today announced that the company has signed a strategic research and development collaboration and licensing agreement with Eli Lilly and Company, a global leading pharmaceutical company. The two parties will collaborate on innovative drug research and development targeting multiple disease targets, jointly advancing the development of new drug projects with global potential.
Abbisko Therapeutics and Eli Lilly will combine their respective strengths in drug discovery, research and development, and global development to jointly advance the research and development process of innovative drug projects, committed to bringing more innovative treatment options to patients worldwide.
Under the agreement, Abbisko Therapeutics will leverage its early-stage drug discovery platform and innovative research and development system, combined with extensive experience in new drug development, to conduct discovery and early-stage research of new drug projects around disease targets selected by Eli Lilly. Abbisko Therapeutics will receive an upfront payment and will be eligible for further payments upon achieving subsequent development, regulatory, and commercialization milestones, with a potential total amount of up to $1.9 billion. In addition, Abbisko Therapeutics will also be entitled to receive tiered sales royalties based on future net product sales.
In 2022, Abbisko Therapeutics and Eli Lilly previously signed a global collaboration and exclusive licensing agreement to collaborate on the discovery, development, and potential commercialization of novel small molecule drugs.
