Winnipeg, ManitobaJune 11, 2026 /CNW/ — As spring wheat planting gets underway across Canada in 2026, Cereals Canada has resumed regular updates to its interactive Growing Season Progress Report. The report will be updated every two weeks until harvest is complete across the three Prairie provinces.

“The Growing Season Progress Report provides timely insights into wheat development in Western Canada, including environmental factors that may impact crop growth and quality,” said Matilda van Aggelen, Market and Trade Specialist. “We encourage global and domestic customers, as well as value chain members, to access the report for regular updates on the 2026 Prairie wheat crop.”
Cereals Canada collaborates with provincial agriculture departments in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba throughout the growing season to gather information on seeding progress, crop condition and quality, and spring wheat harvest activities. The report compiles and presents this information in an interactive, user-friendly format, including maps, provincial highlights, and links to detailed crop reports. Historical data from previous years is also available to support comparisons and trend analysis.
“Most of Canada’s spring wheat production is concentrated in the Prairie region, so this report provides global buyers with a clear picture of crop development from planting to harvest,” said van Aggelen. “Customers around the world value transparent and timely information, and the Growing Season Progress Report makes it easy for them to access everything they need in one platform.”
