Representatives from media and dealerships across Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia gathered in Beijing to tour factories, test-drive products, and celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary at the foot of the Badaling Great Wall.
Smart Manufacturing and Product Experience
The delegation visited the Foton Cummins factory, X-Lab, and Foton Bus Global Center Factory, gaining hands-on insights into commercial vehicle automated production lines and new energy core technologies. The afternoon test-drive session showcased Foton’s full product lineup, including heavy-duty trucks, light trucks, micro trucks, vans, pickups, and new energy models.
30 Years of “Grit to Great” Spirit
At the Great Wall evening banquet, Foton Overseas Business Division President Wu Zongtian emphasized the company’s “Grit to Great” spirit. Foton’s Overseas Strategy and Marketing Vice President Dong Shuxing reviewed Foton’s journey from its first light truck to operations spanning over 140 countries worldwide, reiterating the “Comprehensive Internationalization” strategy and the “GREEN 3030” goal: achieving overseas sales of 300,000 units by 2030, with new energy vehicles accounting for 30% of that total. Over the next five years, Foton plans to establish industrial bases in Indonesia, South Africa, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and other regions, accelerating the transition from product export to technology, standards, and full value chain cooperation.

Foton unveiled four new models: GALAXUS aims to redefine benchmarks for long-haul logistics; DAYSTAR offers the ultimate solution for intercity logistics; eVIEW CONNECT, a pure electric cargo van, brings an efficiency revolution; and the AUV intelligent midibus drives change in urban micro-circulation transit with safety, efficiency, comfort, and intelligence.
Galaxy Global Test Drive Tour Launched
Foton officially launched the “Galaxy Global Test Drive Tour.” The Galaxy fleet will depart from Beijing, with the first stop in Mexico, then covering Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, before ultimately appearing at the Hanover Motor Show. A flag-presentation ceremony was held on site, officially dispatching the Latin America advance team.
