ShenzhenMay 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On the occasion of the 2026 National Day for Assisting Persons with Disabilities, Cigna-CMB Life Insurance Co., Ltd. organized party member representatives to visit the Shenyang Enxingju Nursing Service Center, carrying out a “Doing Practical Work for the People” themed party day activity. They delivered 40 bags of high-quality rice to the children there, conveying financial warmth through concrete actions and fulfilling social responsibilities.
“This batch of rice couldn’t have come at a better time!” the head of the nursing service center said excitedly. The center’s daily operations rely entirely on support from social forces. Currently, it cares for over 30 children and adolescents, primarily those with intellectual disabilities and autism. The consumption of daily necessities is high, especially staple foods like rice, which are in urgent demand. Recently, supplies had run low, and this donation came just in time to address the pressing need.
At the event, Cigna-CMB’s party members interacted warmly with the children. Touching moments unfolded as the children at the center specially prepared handmade fabric flower appliqués to give back to the party member uncles and aunties. Although their movements were not particularly dexterous and their language skills limited, each appliqué was brightly colored and meticulously crafted, reflecting the children’s purest intentions.
“These children are not good at expressing themselves, but they can feel kindness and respond in their own unique ways,” the center’s teacher explained in detail. Most of the children at the center have varying degrees of intellectual developmental delays or autism spectrum disorders, requiring round-the-clock care and rehabilitation training. Handicraft classes are an important form of auxiliary therapy. Through actions like tearing, sticking, assembling, and drawing, the children exercise their hand-eye coordination. Completing a piece of work also gives them a tremendous sense of achievement. The appliqués returned today were made by the children over the past two weeks under the guidance of their teachers.
Cigna-CMB stated that as a financial enterprise with state-owned shareholding, the company consistently adheres to the concept of “finance for the people,” regarding serving society and giving back to the public as its inherent responsibility. Choosing to visit the special children’s nursing service center during the National Day for Assisting Persons with Disabilities was intended to deliver care where it is most needed. “What we brought is not just 40 bags of rice, but also a commitment—we will continue to pay attention to this special group and do our best to help solve practical difficulties.”
Each bag of rice carries the warmth of nourishing care; each appliqué blooms with heart-touching emotion. On this special day for assisting persons with disabilities, Cigna-CMB, through its simple actions of “doing practical work,” interprets the financial enterprise’s original intention of serving the people, and makes the party flag fly high at the grassroots level.
