ShanghaiJune 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Recently, Smartee Dental was awarded the teaching base designation for the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Planning for Stomatology Students” course at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Stomatology.
Since initiating practical teaching collaboration in 2024, both parties have continuously explored a synergistic education model combining stomatology education and industry practice, promoting the organic integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education with industry resources. For three consecutive years from 2024 to 2026, students from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Stomatology have participated in practical course activities at Smartee Dental, deepening and solidifying the school-enterprise cooperation.
Leveraging the establishment of this teaching base, Smartee Dental will provide multi-dimensional practical learning opportunities for stomatology students based on the talent cultivation needs of the field. The relevant practical content mainly includes four directions:
- Internship in 3D animation simulation design for clear aligners;
- Observation and practice of clinical technical support for clear aligners;
- Learning and practice of digital orthodontic technology;
- Sharing of industry-academia-research collaboration and technology transfer pathways.
At the awarding ceremony, Professor Shen Gang, a group-level expert at Taikang Dental and Chief Scientist of Smartee GS Technology R&D, was appointed as a distinguished mentor at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Stomatology. Professor Shen Gang previously served as Vice Dean of the School of Stomatology and Director of the Department of Stomatology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with long-term involvement in orthodontic clinical practice, scientific research innovation, and technology transfer, accumulating rich theoretical and practical experience in the field of orthodontics. This appointment will effectively promote the deep integration of industry practical experience with the academic teaching system.
