Infosys and Roland Garros Launch AI-Powered Digital Fan Experience, Extend Partnership Through 2031

ParisJune 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Infosys (NSE, BSE, NYSE: INFY), a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting with an AI-first approach, has announced a series of exciting new AI-driven digital fan experiences with Roland-Garros, set to debut at the 2026 Roland-Garros tournament. In addition to these innovations, the two parties have extended their AI and digital innovation partnership through 2031, reaffirming their commitment to revolutionizing the sport through cutting-edge technology and AI-powered experiences, delivering new value for fans, coaches, players, and the media.

Powered by Infosys Topaz, an AI-first suite of solutions driven by generative AI and agentic AI technologies, these new experiences aim to deepen how fans, coaches, players, and the media engage with the sport. For fans, they offer a more intuitive, insightful, and immersive live tennis experience. Building on existing platforms such as the Match Centre, AI-assisted newsroom, and the Infosys 3D Art Museum, the latest upgrades introduce richer real-time insights, conversational interfaces, personalized on-site interactions, and AI-assisted storytelling for media teams.

New AI-driven innovations for 2026 include:

  • Rolly – AI Data Statistics Bot: Rolly is an AI-powered data statistics bot available on the Roland-Garros website and mobile app. It can answer questions about statistics and rules, while also providing deeper match narratives and contextual analysis. Rolly accesses real-time and historical match data dating back to 2013, allowing fans to explore scores, stats, and match dynamics through natural, near-real-time interactions.
  • Rally – Humanoid Robot: Fans can meet Rally, an advanced AI-driven humanoid robot designed to enhance on-site interactive experiences. With enhanced audio and computer vision capabilities, Rally offers personalized interactions, including: capturing memorable moments via “Selfie Mode”; providing fun tennis-themed predictions through “Serve Me a Fortune”; or offering instant match insights on player performance through the “Ask Rally” interactive chat experience, leveraging real-time Roland-Garros match data. The humanoid robot operates strictly under responsible AI principles, ensuring safe and tennis-focused interactions, making it a highlight of the Infosys Fan Zone.
  • Match Momentum: “Match Momentum” provides clear, real-time visualizations showing the flow and shifts in a match. It highlights momentum swings, set changes, and key scoring moments, allowing fans to intuitively follow the rhythm of the game and grasp crucial turning points in real time.

Several existing platforms have also received significant enhancements, including:

  • AI Commentary: Now available in French, improving accessibility for local audiences while reducing latency and enhancing the presentation of live match commentary.
  • Excitement Index: Optimized and simplified into an “Excitement” metric, helping fans quickly identify the most intense ongoing matches.
  • AI-Assisted Newsroom Portal: Upgraded with more customization options, improved image editing tools, and plug-and-play infographic templates, enabling media and event stakeholders to create content faster and more flexibly.

Beyond these innovations, Infosys continues its collaboration with the French Tennis Federation’s charitable partner, Association Fête le mur (FLM), to support technology-enabled learning programs for underprivileged youth in Paris. FLM and Infosys are jointly developing tennis-related learning modules, deployed on the Infosys Springboard digital learning platform, which aims to promote digital inclusion and social impact through skill-building. Additionally, 60 young people aged 11 to 17 from disadvantaged backgrounds will have the opportunity to visit Roland-Garros and participate in AI and technology workshops led by Infosys experts. Through hands-on experiences with digital skills and innovation, these programs aim to inspire and unlock the potential of the next generation.

Gilles Moretton, President of the French Tennis Federation, said: “Our long-standing partnership with Infosys continues to push the boundaries of how Roland-Garros connects with audiences. By blending the tournament’s tradition with advanced AI technologies, we are creating richer, more inclusive experiences that resonate with fans on-site and around the world, while staying true to the spirit of the sport.”

Sumit Virmani, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Infosys, said: “As AI continues to reshape how fans engage with live sports, the real opportunity lies in transforming data into deeply immersive experiences. At Roland-Garros, we are leveraging AI to go beyond simply displaying match information, allowing fans to experience the momentum, context, and emotion of the game in real time. These innovations reflect our commitment to building intelligent, human-centric digital ecosystems that elevate fan engagement at scale.”
