International Museum Day: Coca-Cola Fans Embark on an Exclusive Museum Tour in Xiamen

XiamenMay 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On May 17, ahead of “International Museum Day,” the Xiamen Swire Coca-Cola Museum launched a “Fan Exclusive” event, welcoming a group of happy drink enthusiasts. Among them, some collect Coca-Cola bottles from different countries, others follow every update from the Xiamen Swire Coca-Cola official blog online, and some simply love the refreshing fizz of a single sip. But on this day, they were no longer fans liking posts from behind a screen; instead, they truly stepped into this garden-style factory, embarking on a tour called “Joyful Min Flavors, Fun to the Max” alongside Le Zai and Director Bear.

The moment they entered the Xiamen Swire Coca-Cola factory, the fans’ identities changed—they were no longer ordinary visitors but “exclusive event players” adorned with special stickers. Crossing the zebra crossing and walking through the factory corridor felt like entering Coca-Cola’s secret base. The real surprises began in the second-floor foyer. Under the curator’s explanation, this garden-style factory, established in 1995, was no longer just a “happy drink production base” but became more vivid and multifaceted. Some fans remarked that while they used to learn about Coca-Cola through screens, now stepping into this factory brought those oft-heard stories to life with specific scenes: “Happy knowledge points have increased again.”

Subsequently, the fans proceeded to the production line observation corridor, witnessing the birth of a bottle of happy drink through the glass windows—from empty bottle conveying, cleaning and disinfection, filling and capping, to automatic boxing and palletizing. The highly efficient production line, capable of producing tens of thousands of bottles of beverages per hour, made many people yearn even more for those happy bubbles. A fan who usually enjoys collecting limited-edition cans said that only after seeing the production line did they realize that behind every can lies such a precise and smooth journey.

While everyone was still immersed in the visual impact of the production line, the “top-tier NPC”—the adorable Director Bear—made a surprise appearance on the seventh-floor museum. Interactions and photo sessions turned the scene into a massive fan meet-up. In front of the Fujian scenic wall made of 5,400 curved bottle caps, fans took photos while listening to the curator reveal fascinating stories behind Coca-Cola’s connections with the Olympics and Santa Claus. During the interactive Q&A session, fans raised their hands to draw cards and answer questions, and regardless of right or wrong, Director Bear gave out small gifts, embodying a “spoiling fans to the end” approach.

After touring, learning, and snapping photos, the real highlight was just beginning. In the meeting room’s refrigerator, Coca-Cola was available for unlimited drinking; during the DIY hand-painted curved bottle session, fans used brushes to depict their own stories with Coca-Cola on glass curved bottles. Compared to collecting ready-made bottles, painting a curved bottle by hand became the most special experience for many.

As the event drew to a close, the staff carefully handed out souvenirs to each person, and the moment of the group photo marked not just the end of a tour but a true two-way connection between the brand and its fans. Xiamen Swire Coca-Cola stated that there are more fun and delicious experiences on the way, inviting everyone to “Joyfully taste Min flavors and play to the max.”
