March 12 is China’s statutory Arbor Day, and this year also marks the 45th anniversary of the nationwide voluntary tree-planting campaign in China. In commemoration of this occasion, NX Automotive Logistics (China) organized and carried out this tree-planting event under the theme “Fulfilling Tree-Planting Duties, Building a Green and Beautiful Home Together.”
A total of 27 people participated in this event, including company President Kentaro Shimoda, employees, and their families, collectively planting 30 saplings. Participants also enjoyed a spring hike together, fostering camaraderie amidst the spring scenery. Through this activity, everyone gained a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental protection and strengthened their bonds with colleagues and family members.
President Kentaro Shimoda commented on the significance of the company’s ongoing commitment to environmental causes: “While our company serves society through logistics operations, we also generate carbon dioxide emissions in the process. This tree-planting initiative is the first step in protecting a safe environment for Chinese children to grow up in. I hope the children understand that protecting the environment means safeguarding future happiness.”
