Revvity Attends Qingdao Summit of Multinationals, Driving New Quality Momentum Through Local Innovation

ShanghaiJune 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Recently, the 7th Qingdao Summit of Multinationals Leaders was held in Qingdao. Revvity made its third consecutive appearance at this grand event, demonstrating its confidence and commitment to deep-rooted development in China. Executives and corporate representatives from multinational companies across multiple countries and regions gathered around the theme “Multinationals and China – Joining Hands for the ’15th Five-Year Plan’ to Innovate and Embrace the Future,” focusing on opportunities in new quality productive forces and exploring new pathways for global cooperation.

Revvity is one of the early foreign-invested enterprises in the life sciences and diagnostics sector to enter China, with a long-standing commitment to these fields, accompanying Chinese scientists and medical professionals in tackling challenges and achieving breakthroughs. In the 2026 Government Work Report, biomedicine was included as an “emerging pillar industry” for the first time. Facing new opportunities, Revvity will closely align with market demands, driving a “two-way commitment” between global resources and localized innovation to support high-quality industry development.

During the summit, Revvity Vice President and Greater China General Manager Liu Jiang was invited to attend the “Enjoy the Land of Mountains and Seas, Smart Connect the Vital Bay Area” – “China Health Bay” Construction Scenario Matchmaking Conference and delivered a keynote speech. He stated: “Revvity’s technologies are widely applied in areas such as drug development, disease screening, hospital testing, and cell and gene therapy. In China, Revvity supports screening for approximately 70% of newborns each year and provides prenatal screening services for over 6 million pregnant women. Additionally, through a comprehensive technology platform covering molecular, cellular, and in vivo research, we offer ongoing support to research institutions and biomedical companies.”

Liu Jiang further noted that Qingdao’s “China Health Bay” is actively building a new ecosystem for the life and health industry, with a focus on areas such as cell and gene therapy, rehabilitation robotics, and smart health and wellness, which closely align with Revvity’s technological capabilities. Revvity will deeply participate in ecosystem development from four dimensions: helping Qingdao build a more comprehensive birth defect prevention and control system; providing full-process R&D and transformation solutions for cell and gene therapy (CGT) companies; collaborating with the University of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and local healthcare systems to serve health needs across all age groups; and advancing frontier technologies like organoids from research to clinical application, empowering personalized medicine development. Revvity is willing to be a long-term partner and innovation collaborator in the construction of “China Health Bay,” working comprehensively with local academic, research, and industry forces to accelerate the implementation of technological achievements and help Qingdao’s life sciences and diagnostics industry move up the value chain.

Currently, Revvity has implemented multiple collaborations in Shandong: In the life sciences field, Revvity has co-established innovation platforms with local universities and research institutions to support basic research and application transformation; the “Life Sciences Intelligent Manufacturing Base,” jointly built with Aochen Technology and Qingdao High-tech Zone, has been officially launched. This base integrates Revvity’s globally leading automation capabilities, providing smart application support for life science scenarios. In the diagnostics field, Revvity focuses on core areas such as newborn screening, prenatal screening, and infection diagnosis, contributing to the construction of birth defect prevention and public health screening systems. It has established long-term partnerships with regional core medical institutions such as Jinan Maternal and Child Health Hospital and Qingdao Maternal and Child Health Hospital, actively participating in the development of industry standards and norms.

Liu Jiang concluded: “As a major economic and population province in northern China, Shandong boasts a strong innovation atmosphere and a well-established industrial ecosystem, making it a key strategic fulcrum for Revvity’s layout in the northern market. Looking ahead to the ’15th Five-Year Plan,’ biomedicine is becoming a critical area for cultivating new quality productive forces and creating new engines for economic growth in China. Revvity will continue to deepen its localized development in the life sciences and diagnostics sectors, resonating with Qingdao’s health ecosystem, driving more innovative achievements to be born, transformed, and brought to the global stage here. By empowering industrial upgrades with technological innovation, we aim to contribute to the building of a Healthy China.”
