The newly established joint venture, named “ShengNuo New Materials (Sichuan) Co., Ltd.,” will be located in Guang’an, Sichuan, China, and will produce high-quality biphenol products. The company integrates Shengxiao Group’s mature biphenol production facilities and regional market resources with SI Group’s proprietary technology and global expertise in the biphenol field. Through complementary advantages, the joint venture will further enhance local biphenol supply capacity to better meet growing market demand.
Biphenol is a key monomer for high-performance materials such as liquid crystal polymers (LCP) and polyphenylsulfone (PPSU), widely used in electronics, automotive, medical, and other fields. As demand for next-generation high-performance materials continues to grow, the establishment of the joint venture will further support the development of related industries and provide customers with more stable and reliable supply assurance.
