Kazakhstan has designated 2026 as the “Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence.” Under the national “Digital Kazakhstan” strategy, the country is advancing the construction of domestic sovereign computing capacity to reduce reliance on foreign software and hardware, while positioning itself as a regional digital hub in Central Asia. Recognizing a significant gap in high-end domestic computing supply, the national investment agency Kazakhstan Invest is actively exploring ways to expand computing capacity through foreign investment and partnerships.

During the meeting, SuperX expressed interest in a proposed three-year phased investment and construction roadmap. According to the proposal, a 200-megawatt (MW) computing cluster is planned for completion in 2027, with an additional 300 MW in 2028, and a further 500 MW expansion in 2029. This envisioned 1 GW national intelligent computing center aims to serve as a cross-border computing node connecting Europe and Asia. The discussions also touched on the potential establishment of a tripartite joint working group to coordinate land use, energy supply, fiscal and tax policies, and talent development. The Kazakh side has invited the SuperX team to conduct a site selection survey locally to further assess the project’s feasibility.

Dr. Huang Chenhong, Chairman of SuperX, noted that Kazakhstan’s advantages in geopolitics, energy resources, and foreign investment policies make it a strong potential anchor point for the company’s global computing network. Leveraging its NVIDIA OEM partner credentials, liquid cooling and high-voltage direct current (HVDC) solutions, cross-border data compliance frameworks, and production capacity at domestic and overseas manufacturing bases, SuperX can provide integrated end-to-end hardware and software deployment services, setting it apart from pure hardware suppliers. The company proposed that its proven overseas data center operational model could be replicated in Kazakhstan, thereby shortening the project’s time to market.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan acknowledged SuperX’s outstanding expertise in intelligent computing operations and welcomed further collaboration with Kazakhstan Invest to explore the project’s feasibility. Both sides plan to conduct further discussions and evaluations to determine whether the proposed framework can translate into concrete deliverables.

If realized, this potential cooperation could help address Kazakhstan’s critical computing capacity gap and strengthen its domestic AI industry ecosystem. For SuperX, advancing this proposal would open the door to a billion-dollar digital infrastructure growth market in Central Asia and enhance the company’s cross-border computing layout spanning Europe and Asia.
