The newly completed sixth factory, spanning 800,000 square feet, leverages advanced automation technology to boost TDConnex’s annual metal injection molding output by over one billion parts
XiamenMay 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — TDConnex, a global leader in micro-precision manufacturing, today announced the official opening of its sixth manufacturing facility. Located in Xiamen, China, this dedicated industrial park covers 800,000 square feet and produces millions of high-precision micro-components for the world’s most demanding technology innovators, with a core focus on significantly expanded metal injection molding (MIM) capacity.
TDConnex opens advanced micro-precision factory in Xiamen, scaling global capabilities for tomorrow’s supply chain
The launch of the sixth factory in Xiamen supports TDConnex’s steady progress in executing its capacity expansion strategy for the future supply chain. The company’s production network now spans China, Singapore, and India, serving top global tech clients. By integrating over fifty manufacturing processes, it has built a highly automated, large-scale production system, which TDConnex calls the “Hyperscale Intelligent Manufacturing System.”
The new factory is one of the largest MIM capacity expansion projects in the precision manufacturing industry in recent years. The park is equipped with next-generation MIM production lines capable of manufacturing ultra-small, structurally complex, and high-strength metal components used in high-end consumer electronics. Combined with TDConnex’s existing MIM capacity at the adjacent Xiamen campus, the company now boasts one of the world’s largest dedicated MIM production footprints for the tech industry.
Located at No. 6, Dingshan East Road, Dongfu Street, Haicang District, Xiamen, the new factory sits adjacent to TDConnex’s existing Xiamen industrial park, enabling the sharing of internal production resources and technical expertise. This integrated industrial layout accelerates capacity ramp-up, facilitates technology transfer between facilities, and strengthens coordinated operations to better serve global customers.
The factory took only four months from groundbreaking to full completion, demonstrating TDConnex’s industry-leading agile responsiveness in supporting the development needs of the world’s leading innovative tech companies. The facility is now in full production, effectively ensuring supply for existing customer orders.
Thanga Venkatachalam, CEO of TDConnex, said: “The sixth factory in Xiamen embodies TDConnex’s mission to meet the stringent standards of delivery speed and product precision demanded by the most innovative tech companies. Completing this high-spec, large-scale factory on schedule as required by our customers would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our global team, and we are deeply grateful to the Xiamen city government and local partners for their strong support in making this facility a reality.”
“As electronic products continue to evolve toward thinner, lighter, and smarter designs, market demand for high-end micro-precision components—especially high-strength miniature metal parts produced via MIM technology—is surging. We sincerely thank our customers for their long-term partnership, and we will continue to expand our global capacity to drive the thriving development of the next generation of high-end electronics.”
The successful launch of the sixth factory in Xiamen is the result of deep collaboration with Haitou Group and strong support from government departments at the municipal and provincial levels in Xiamen and Fujian Province. Over the past decade, multi-party collaboration between government and enterprises has continuously helped TDConnex expand its industrial footprint in Xiamen. Once the new factory reaches full production, it is expected to create 3,000 to 4,000 direct and indirect local jobs, and TDConnex will further contribute to enhancing the local manufacturing ecosystem.
This production launch marks a significant milestone in TDConnex’s global expansion. In India, the company has been investing in expanding its 22-acre manufacturing park in SIPCOT, Tamil Nadu, to build high-end manufacturing capacity serving global tech clients. Leveraging its production bases in China, Singapore, and India, TDConnex continues to ramp up high-end manufacturing capacity, deepen process technology R&D, and strengthen supply chain resilience for global customers.
