Budapest, Hungary and Shenzhen, ChinaJune 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Sunwoda Electronic (Sunwoda, or “Sunwoda”), a global leader in lithium-ion battery technology and solutions, has entered into a patent license agreement with Tulip Innovation (“Tulip”), the licensing agent for lithium-ion battery patents owned by LG Energy Solution and Panasonic Energy, under Tulip’s lithium-ion battery licensing program.
Following the signing of the agreement, both parties will withdraw pending legal proceedings in Germany, China, and South Korea, thereby resolving all disputes related to battery technology between Sunwoda and its customers and LG Energy Solution and Panasonic Energy. The terms of the agreement are confidential.
Both parties emphasized that resolving global legal disputes through a licensing agreement serves the best interests of both parties, their businesses, customers, and stakeholders. This solution eliminates the uncertainty, disruption, and high costs associated with ongoing litigation.
