BeijingMay 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On May 14, TÜV Rheinland Greater China (referred to as “TÜV Rheinland”), an internationally independent third-party testing, inspection, and certification organization, awarded the “High Performance Automotive 5G Platform” certification and the “Youth Care” certification for in-vehicle displays to the new Li Auto L9 Livis model. These two certifications focus on evaluating the vehicle’s performance in terms in-vehicle network performance and family-friendly cabin design, setting a new benchmark for intelligent safety in automotive cabins.

Vehicles are gradually evolving from traditional means of transportation into a “mobile third space” that integrates intelligent interaction, online services, entertainment experiences, and data connectivity. Against this backdrop, the connectivity capability of in-vehicle networks is no longer just a basic communication configuration, but a critical factor directly impacting users’ daily driving and riding experience. This High Performance Automotive 5G Platform certification project, centered around four core capabilities—multi-card multi-network coordination, 5G-A high-speed experience, intelligent network selection, and application priority assurance—has established a comprehensive intelligent network connectivity performance certification system tailored to real-world in-vehicle scenarios. The system accurately replicates typical road scenarios such as urban interference, high-speed handovers, entering and exiting underground garages, and weak network coverage within a controlled laboratory environment. Combined with high-frequency applications like navigation, music, video, voice control, and remote operation, it thoroughly validates the vehicle’s actual performance in complex network environments. Results show that the new Li Auto L9 Livis model excels in multi-network coverage adaptability, weak network continuity, 5G-A high-speed experience, intelligent network selection capability, and critical application stability, earning it the TÜV Rheinland “High Performance Automotive 5G Platform” certification certificate.

Meanwhile, TÜV Rheinland’s “Youth Care” certification standard for in-vehicle displays covers dimensions such as eye protection technology, intelligent adjustment functions, and intelligent monitoring and reminder features. This includes detailed testing and evaluation of sub-items like low blue light, flicker-free performance, screen reflectivity, automatic brightness adjustment, automatic color temperature adjustment, viewing duration reminders, viewing posture reminders, ambient light monitoring reminders, and child presence reminders, safeguarding children’s safety, visual health, and comfort.
