WuhuJune 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Recently, TÜV Rheinland Greater China (referred to as “TÜV Rheinland”), an internationally independent third-party testing, inspection, and certification organization, awarded the “Motion Sickness Alleviation” certification to the Zhijie V9. This not only serves as professional recognition of the vehicle’s anti-motion sickness technology and ride comfort but also sets a new benchmark for user experience upgrades in the MPV category in the electrification era.

TÜV Rheinland awards Motion Sickness Alleviation certification to Zhijie V9
Guan Di, Deputy Dean of the Zhijie Automotive R&D Institute; Wu Yunzhu, Chief Engineer of the Performance Development Department; Li Zhitao, Vice President of Transportation Services at TÜV Rheinland Greater China; Han Zao, Deputy General Manager of Regional Sales; and Shan Xiaotong, Business Development Manager for Electronic and Electrical Product Services, attended the certification ceremony as representatives from both sides.
As a key vehicle for family trips and business receptions, ride comfort is particularly critical for MPVs. Due to the characteristics of electric drive and energy recovery strategies, the incidence of motion sickness has significantly increased in electric vehicles. Therefore, anti-motion sickness technology has become a key differentiator for product competition and a core dimension defining future travel comfort. The Zhijie V9 is equipped with a motion sickness alleviation system specifically tuned for MPVs, which updates the motion sickness induction level in real time through multi-axis dynamic response, integrating comprehensive control strategies for the chassis, powertrain, and braking system to suppress motion sickness in various scenarios.

Guan Di, Deputy Dean of the Zhijie Automotive R&D Institute
In his speech, Guan Di stated: “As a high-end MPV for family and business travel, the Zhijie V9 has pursued ‘comfort’ as its core goal from the very beginning of the project. We specifically developed a motion sickness alleviation mode, conducting interdisciplinary, system-level comfort research based on human factors engineering theory. TÜV Rheinland, with its rigorous testing protocols and scientific evaluation system, comprehensively validated the effectiveness of this function. The Motion Sickness Alleviation certification is not only a physical test of technical indicators but also a refined examination of the actual passenger riding experience. In the future, Zhijie Automotive looks forward to deeper strategic cooperation with TÜV Rheinland in the field of cutting-edge technology validation, jointly driving the upgrade of user experience in the automotive industry.”

Li Zhitao, Vice President of Transportation Services at TÜV Rheinland Greater China
Li Zhitao noted in his address: “The Zhijie V9 receiving the Motion Sickness Alleviation certification is a significant milestone in Zhijie Automotive’s deep commitment to user experience and cabin comfort refinement. Looking ahead, TÜV Rheinland will leverage its global service network and professional technical advantages to continuously empower Zhijie Automotive through consumer ride experience surveys, intelligent driving compliance system development, full-process localized certification, and supply chain quality improvement. Together, we will build a solid product moat and jointly promote a more friendly and comfortable travel experience in the future.”
During this certification process, TÜV Rheinland highly replicated real-world driving scenarios, testing and validating the Zhijie V9’s motion sickness alleviation function across six scenarios prone to motion sickness: straight-line acceleration, bumpy roads, high-speed lane changes, braking, roundabout navigation, and U-turns. This combined subjective and objective evaluations, including “Motion Sickness Dose Value (MSDV)” and “subjective and objective human factors.”
Actual test results showed that after activating the motion sickness alleviation mode on the Zhijie V9, vehicle dynamics became smoother and more stable in typical scenarios such as continuous turns, start-stop, energy recovery, and high-speed lane changes, effectively reducing motion sickness triggers like continuous swaying and abrupt impacts, providing passengers with a more comfortable and friendly riding experience.
By establishing scientific, quantifiable evaluation standards and rigorously ensuring their scientific validity and impartiality, TÜV Rheinland helps automakers scientifically select effective strategies and provides consumers with valuable purchasing guidance. In the future, TÜV Rheinland will continue to collaborate with industry partners to conduct deeper research, industry, and application cooperation on key technical points, continuously optimizing evaluation models, and establishing more scientific and forward-looking motion sickness alleviation strategies and certification systems, jointly promoting a more comfortable and friendly travel experience.
