IstanbulJune 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Leading home appliance company Beko, on the occasion of World Environment Day, highlighted a series of technologies aimed at tangibly reducing household energy and water consumption. This focus on resource reduction also extends to the company’s global production sites. At these sites, circular manufacturing practices and operational processes continuously drive reductions in energy and water consumption, as well as waste generation.

Can Dincer, Beko CEO
Within its washing machine and dishwasher product lines, Beko has integrated advanced technologies designed to optimize daily resource usage. These technological advancements, including PowerIntense dishwasher technology and EnergySpin washing machine technology, focus on reducing water and energy consumption in everyday household chores, respectively.
Optimizing Resource Use in Household Routines
Leveraging Beko’s PowerIntense dishwasher technology, each wash cycle uses just 5.9 liters of water while delivering up to five times the cleaning performance [1] . This water-saving capability represents a meaningful advancement at a time when water scarcity is a growing concern in many markets.
In everyday laundry scenarios, the EnergySpin technology in washing machines reduces energy consumption by up to 35% compared to equivalent Beko models without this technology [2] . Together, these technologies demonstrate how Beko’s innovation helps households reduce resource consumption and optimize energy expenditure while simplifying daily life.
Resource Management and Waste Reduction at the Core of Production
Reducing household resource consumption is closely linked to sustainable manufacturing practices. This commitment begins directly within Beko’s production facilities, driving quantifiable environmental improvements through targeted operational upgrades. Reducing water usage in both the use and production phases of products is a key focus for Beko across its product and technology range in all markets. For example, at its Manisa washing machine factory in Turkey, water consumption per product has been reduced by approximately 79% through targeted optimizations. Meanwhile, at its Singer factory, plastic waste has been reduced by over 90%.
These efforts support a broader corporate commitment: Beko aims to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030. At its factories in Turkey, Romania, Egypt, and Bangladesh, best sustainable practices are reflected in: leading manufacturing levels recognized by the World Economic Forum [3] , initiatives to reduce waste generation and enhance waste recovery in manufacturing operations [4] , and the use of renewable energy [5] .
Can Dinçer, CEO of Beko stated: “At Beko, we firmly believe that true environmental responsibility requires looking at the bigger picture — integrating how we manage production with how our products perform in the home. Through years of continuous innovation and investment, we have made sustainability one of our strongest capabilities. By driving water and energy efficiency and reducing waste in our global manufacturing operations, while developing home appliances that lower daily resource consumption, we focus on pragmatic sustainability. Our ultimate goal is to make conscious resource conservation a seamless and natural part of everyday life, without requiring any compromise from consumers.”
