Zendure Launches PowerHub – Europe’s First Plug-in Home Energy Management Hub, Transforming Any Solar Home into a Whole-House Energy Ecosystem

The new central control unit can unify and coordinate solar power generation, energy storage, backup power, and household electricity consumption within a scalable home energy ecosystem.

Düsseldorf, GermanyMay 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Zendure, a global pioneer in plug-and-play Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS), is expanding its SolarFlow Mix series with the PowerHub. This central control unit integrates photovoltaic generation, energy storage, the grid, backup power, and controllable loads such as heat pumps, EV chargers, and smart home devices into a unified architecture, evolving the SolarFlow Mix series from a modular energy storage product into a whole-home integrated energy ecosystem.

Scalable Energy System for Growing Electricity Needs

As the intelligent hub of the home energy ecosystem, the PowerHub unifies and coordinates battery storage, solar input, and household electricity loads. A single unit can be expanded from a base capacity of 8 kWh up to 50 kWh, with multiple units combined reaching up to 150 kWh. Each PowerHub can connect up to three SolarFlow Mix units, delivering a continuous power output of up to 12 kW, sufficient to meet whole-home electricity needs including heat pumps and EV charging. The system is suitable for single-family homes, multi-generational households, and small commercial scenarios.

The PowerHub is available in single-phase (1P) and three-phase (3P) versions, tailored to homes in Germany, France, and the Netherlands. The three-phase version offers higher continuous power, supports full three-phase EV charging up to 22 kW, and features balanced load distribution, enabling simultaneous operation of heat pumps, induction cooktops, and high-power EVFlow AC units. In backup power mode, the single-phase version can power one phase via a single SolarFlow Mix; the three-phase version can power all three phases by connecting three units in parallel.

Intelligent Energy Management via ZENKI AI and ZenWave™

The PowerHub runs on Zendure’s open energy platform, ZEN+OS, and is centrally managed by ZENKI AI. By learning household electricity usage habits, weather conditions, and electricity price fluctuations, ZENKI AI makes intelligent decisions every minute on when to store energy and when to use it. Combined with Zendure’s dynamic electricity pricing service, ZenWave™, households can automatically trade energy on the spot market, significantly reducing electricity costs. Open interfaces connect the entire ecosystem with EV chargers, heat pumps, and smart home devices via European standards:

  • SG-Ready: Heat pumps can respond to electricity prices and grid signals, compatible with over 5,000 heat pump models.
  • EEBus: A European standard connecting smart appliances with energy systems.
  • OCPP: An open industry standard for EV chargers.
  • VPP-Ready: Compatible with virtual power plants, enabling participation in grid stabilization and generating additional revenue.

Data is processed locally, so the home can continue to manage energy autonomously even without internet connectivity, while advanced features of ZENKI AI operate on the cloud.

Whole-Home Backup Power for Energy Security

During a grid outage, the PowerHub powers the entire home rather than just individual devices, ensuring lighting, refrigerators, and internet remain operational, while also supporting heat pumps and EV chargers. With a 10-millisecond switching time, it ensures uninterrupted operation for computers and sensitive medical equipment. The black start function allows the system to restart independently using only solar power after a complete power outage. Even in off-grid mode, EV charging remains available, supporting up to 11 kW.

Simpler Installation, Greater Cost Efficiency

By integrating multiple components into a single architecture, the PowerHub reduces the number of interfaces, simplifies installation, and improves efficiency. Self-generated solar energy can be utilized more fully, with excess electricity stored for use during evenings or high-demand periods. For a household with an annual electricity consumption of 15,000 kWh, pairing the PowerHub with a 16 kWp photovoltaic system and ZenWave™ can reduce electricity costs by up to 88%-91%. Using three SolarFlow 3000 Mix AC+ units can save up to €3,168 per year; using three SolarFlow 4000 Mix Pro or Mix AC+ units can save up to €5,472 per year.
