Applied Statistics Professional Degree Graduate Practice Base Unveiling and Launching Ceremony” was held at the Fujifilm Business Open Innovation Center (FBOIC Shanghai). This marks another significant step by Fujifilm Business Innovation (China) in deepening industry-academia-research collaboration and fostering talent development. Zhu Dekang, Senior Vice President of Fujifilm Business Innovation (China), and Gao Weiguo, Vice Dean of the School of Data Science at Fudan University, jointly unveiled the base and delivered speeches. Dozens of faculty and students from Fudan University’s School of Data Science and the Institute of Science and Technology for Brain-Inspired Intelligence attended the ceremony.

Fudan University’s School of Data Science is the first data science school among Chinese universities. It aims to target international technological frontiers, focus on national innovation and development, and leverage mathematics, statistics, and computer science as core pillars for deep interdisciplinary integration. It also plans to establish the “Fudan University—Fujifilm Business Innovation Big Data Graduate Innovation Practice Scholarship,” jointly cultivating high-quality professionals with practical skills and innovative thinking to meet the evolving market demands of the AI era. During the unveiling ceremony, Gao Weiguo, Vice Dean of the School of Data Science at Fudan University, presented professional degree industry mentor certificates to Zhu Dekang, Senior Vice President of Fujifilm Business Innovation (China), and Yuan Xin, Director of the Fujifilm Business Open Innovation Center.
