Global First to Surpass 2,000 Units: Zhejiang Humanoid, Co-Invested by Zhongkong Technology, Partners with Jack Technology to Accelerate Embodied Intelligence Industrialization

HangzhouMay 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Recently, Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zhejiang Humanoid”), with Zhongkong Technology as its single largest shareholder, reached a strategic cooperation with Jack Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jack Technology”), signing a contract on-site for 2,000 customized humanoid robots for the garment industry. This is not only the first batch implementation project of humanoid robots in the global garment industry, but also marks a new era where embodied intelligence moves from laboratory prototype validation to replicable, mass production.

Tackling Core Bottlenecks: Confronting the World-Class Challenge of Flexible Manufacturing

Currently, humanoid robots are entering a critical phase centered on scenario implementation. Most companies are deeply mired in difficulties such as a lack of proprietary technology, reliance on imported supply chains, and weak scenario adaptation capabilities. Only through dual innovation in technology and scenarios, and accelerating capital and industrial ecosystem layout, can embodied intelligence achieve large-scale application.

The upgrade of flexible manufacturing in the garment industry is a key touchstone for testing the industrialization capabilities of embodied intelligence. Traditional automation solutions can only handle standardized production of single categories and large batches, failing to meet the garment industry’s real-world demands of “small orders, quick turnaround, multiple varieties, and short delivery times.” Coupled with a widening labor gap and an aging workforce, flexible manufacturing is imperative.

At the same time, garment industry automation has long been constrained by a world-class challenge—the high-precision automated manipulation of flexible fabrics. Garment materials are diverse in texture, variable in shape, prone to wrinkling and misalignment, requiring cut-piece alignment deviations to be controlled within ±2mm. Core processes like cutting and sewing demand equipment motion accuracy of 0.3–0.5mm, imposing stringent requirements on robot perception, decision-making, and control capabilities, with generalization being a recognized technical high ground in the international scientific community.

Building a Foundation with Full-Stack Self-Development: Breaking Through Core Technical Barriers in Flexible Scenarios

Zhejiang Humanoid has established a top-level layout of “technology + ecosystem”, enabling rapid custom development and iterative optimization tailored to the specific needs of garment manufacturing, truly addressing industry pain points.

In terms of hardware development, leveraging its complete machine system, multi-sensor integration, modular design, and deep scenario adaptation capabilities, Zhejiang Humanoid develops embodied robots for specific garment manufacturing processes, achieving high-response control, high-precision operations, and multi-dimensional flexible adaptation.

In algorithm development, utilizing its proprietary embodied intelligence sensing and control system, it achieves precise perception, fine manipulation, and stable execution of full-process tasks in garment fabric handling scenarios. The success rate of flexible fabric piece separation far exceeds industry averages.

Additionally, remote teleoperation technology empowers data collection applications in garment scenarios, providing a full-chain path for long-term data accumulation. Through targeted training and learning strategies, the NAVIAI humanoid robot can adapt to handling fabrics of different sizes and materials, such as polo shirts and denim, with single-step operation time <10s and multi-layer fabric stacking alignment accuracy <2mm.

Engineering Validation Leap: From POC to Large-Scale Implementation of 2,000 Units

In September 2024, Zhejiang Humanoid initiated specialized R&D for the NAVIAI humanoid robot, focusing on core template machine processes in garment production lines. It overcame key technical challenges and completed a comprehensive iteration and upgrade of algorithms, perception, and control architectures.

In July 2025, the NAVIAI humanoid robot template machine operation solution successfully passed POC technical validation, achieving stable, automated full-process operation including template opening/closing, fabric pinching and folding, stacking, and unloading. Its precise performance earned widespread recognition both domestically and internationally.

Focusing on the flexible adaptation needs of the entire garment production line process, Zhejiang Humanoid continues to deeply optimize for industry challenges such as dual-flexible material alignment, multi-layer fabric force control, and sewing trajectory compensation, accelerating the extension from single-process validation to full core process coverage.

Leading an Ecological Paradigm: From a 2,000-Unit Order to a Million-Unit Cluster

Based on solid technical validation, Zhejiang Humanoid and Jack Technology have established a long-term ecological co-building layout: 2,000 units of custom-designed robots and full scenario application implementation, forming a deep synergy mechanism of “long-term supply + stable support,” driving a systemic leap in industry models, supply chain capabilities, and value networks. Together, the two parties are transforming garment humanoid robots from laboratory “new species” into production line “new norms.”

In this process, Zhongkong Technology not only provides capital and industrial ecosystem empowerment but also injects its deep expertise in industrial AI, control systems, and smart manufacturing into the collaboration. From full-chain autonomous operation capabilities in process industries to flexible scenario implementation capabilities for humanoid robots, it provides Zhejiang Humanoid with a core technical foundation and large-scale implementation assurance.

From 2,000 units to millions, and further to a vast, hundred-billion-level smart manufacturing ecosystem—Zhongkong Technology will continue to leverage its industrial AI-centric holistic solutions, joining hands with Zhejiang Humanoid to propel the embodied intelligence industry into a new phase of large-scale, replicable development, leading China’s smart manufacturing to occupy a core high ground in the global wave of flexible manufacturing.
