Xi’anMay 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — From May 21 to 25, 2026, the 10th Silk Road International Exposition & China East-West Cooperation and Investment Trade Fair (referred to as the “Silk Road Expo”) was grandly held in Xi’an.

Booming Xi’an Economic and Technological Development Zone
As the host city, Xi’an highlighted four key events: the China-Europe Railway Express Economic Circle Global Cooperation Forum, the 2026 12th International Business Association Trade and Investment Forum & the 1st China Enterprise Overseas Matchmaking Conference, the 2026 Women Entrepreneurs Investment and Cooperation Symposium, and the Port-Trade-Industry Integration (China-Europe Railway Express Economic Circle) Special Exhibition Zone. These events fully underscored its strategic position as a core node city of the “Belt and Road” Initiative and a global investment hotspot.
Among these, an investment handbook containing 871 key investment attraction projects was officially released, and the “China Enterprise Overseas (Xi’an) Comprehensive Service Port” was launched.
These activities attracted hundreds of international guests, business association leaders, and entrepreneurs from countries and regions along the “Belt and Road” to gather in Xi’an. They engaged in in-depth discussions on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing services, exploring new spaces for port-trade-industry integration and global cooperation.
The Xi’an Investment Cooperation Bureau, Xi’an Development and Reform Commission, Xi’an Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Xi’an Science and Technology Bureau, Xi’an Data Bureau, and Xi’an Natural Resources and Planning Bureau jointly promoted development opportunities, covering areas from development planning, industrial systems, technological innovation, and digital government to spatial layout.
Key highlights included the “Three Centers and Two Hubs” strategy under the “15th Five-Year Plan,” encompassing an upgraded industrial system across 26 industries and 19 industrial chains (such as new energy vehicles, semiconductors, new energy, hydrogen energy, and embodied intelligence), as well as “Artificial Intelligence+” capabilities and digital government achievements, such as the “Silk Road Data Port” infrastructure and the application of the HarmonyOS ecosystem in intelligent transportation, along with public data development and utilization scenarios.
In addition to the standout special exhibition zones, multiple high-value cooperation agreements were successfully signed, covering areas such as logistics corridor construction, industrial project implementation, and cross-border trade. This further demonstrated Xi’an’s robust momentum in cross-border logistics, industrial collaboration, and international cooperation.
Xi’an will continue to optimize its business environment, sincerely inviting global investors to become “city partners,” jointly building a more dynamic industrial economic circle, and working together to write a new chapter in Silk Road cooperation.
