SuzhouJune 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Recently, the Automotive Electronics Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Laboratory of German independent third-party testing, inspection, and certification organization TÜV Rheinland (referred to as “TÜV Rheinland”), located in Taicang, Suzhou, successfully passed the expansion audit by German Volkswagen. It can now undertake full EMC testing for both high-voltage and low-voltage components.

This audit was jointly conducted by German Volkswagen and Volkswagen (China) Technology Co., Ltd. The expanded scope of approval for the Suzhou Automotive Electronics EMC Laboratory covers 16 test items in the high-voltage EMC field, including high-voltage radiated emissions and conducted emissions, high- and low-voltage coupling, high-voltage transient emissions, and immunity. Experts on-site highly praised and affirmed TÜV Rheinland’s laboratory personnel capabilities, experimental equipment, safety measures, laboratory management, and system operations. They also engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges with TÜV Rheinland’s technical experts regarding the 350kW integrated electric drive dual-axis loading test configured in the laboratory. In the future, both parties will further expand cooperation in related technical testing and certification fields.

Based on conventional automotive electronics EMC testing, the TÜV Rheinland Suzhou Automotive Electronics EMC Laboratory has added testing capabilities such as the 350kW integrated electric drive dual-axis loading test, reverberation chamber method, ISO 7637-4 high-voltage transient immunity test, high-voltage electrical performance test, and high-voltage shielded cable and high-frequency cable test, covering all high-voltage and low-voltage electronic components in vehicles.
