PARIS and MUNICH April 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Allianz Partners, a world leader in B2B2C insurance and assistance, today announced two strategic appointments to its Group Board of Management. These appointments highlight the depth and adaptability of Allianz’s leadership team, bringing significant strength to the Board as Allianz Partners continues to advance its growth strategy.

After nearly two decades with the Allianz Group, Phil Hoffman has been appointed Chief Officer of Travel and Board Member of Allianz Partners, effective April 15, 2026 (subject to regulatory approvals). In his new role, he will report directly to Tomas Kunzmann, CEO of Allianz Partners, and lead the continued expansion of the Travel business.

Phil brings nearly 20 years of leadership experience within the Allianz ecosystem, having held several strategic positions including Head of Insurance for Iberia & Latin America, Head of Planning & Controlling US Life & Asset Management for Allianz Group, and Director of Financial Advisory & Head of Investment Risk at Allianz Life of North America. Since 2019, he has served as Chief Financial Officer of Allianz Direct, with full responsibility for financial operations. During this time, he built up the finance, risk management, legal, and compliance functions, played a key role in launching the pan-European direct insurance platform, led the integration into a single European risk carrier, and successfully participated in several M&A transactions.

Phil succeeds Anna Kofoed, who was appointed Chief Officer of Global Strategic Partnerships and Board Member of Allianz Partners in January 2026, also reporting to Tomas Kunzmann.

Anna joined Allianz Partners in 2023 from Amadeus, a global leader in travel technology and distribution. She brings over 20 years of experience from Amadeus, having held global leadership roles across various functions including marketing, sales, strategy, and business planning. During her two-year tenure leading the Travel business, she helped deliver strong revenue growth with a clear segment focus on airlines and banks, while launching innovative products and enhancing digital engagement.

Anna succeeds Jean-Marc Pailhol, who has moved to a new role focused on developing specialized insurance and assistance services for high-net-worth individuals.

Tomas Kunzmann, CEO of Allianz Partners, said: “I am delighted to welcome Phil to the Allianz Partners Board of Management. His deep understanding of the Allianz ecosystem and proven ability to drive innovation and profitable growth will be crucial as we expand our Travel business. His entrepreneurial mindset and customer-centric approach are a perfect fit for our vision of delivering best-in-class solutions for our partners and customers.”

“I am equally excited that Anna is taking over our Global Strategic Partnerships function. Anna is an inspiring and visionary leader with a keen sense of industry trends and the ability to translate them into impactful solutions for customers. Under her leadership, our Travel business not only achieved outstanding growth but also inspired teams across the organization to push boundaries and deliver key innovations. I am confident that her forward-thinking approach and passion for building meaningful, lasting partnerships will take our strategic collaborations to the next level.”
