Cannes, FranceMay 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Newton Cinema will screen 《MAYILAA》, directed by Semmalar Annam, at the Lérins Cinéma Club on May 12, marking its debut at the Cannes Film Market (Marché du Film).

Newton Cinema announces Salim Ahamed‘s fifth feature film 《LEFTOVER》, starring Arjun Radhakrishnan, Zarin Shihab, Tanmay Dhanania, Shweta Basu Prasad, and Roshan Mathew. The screenplay is written by Salim Ahamed and P. V. Shajikumar, with key crew including cinematographer Sharan Velayudhan, editor A. Sreekar Prasad, composer Christo Xavier, art director Ashik S, sound designer Vishnu Govind, costume designer Gayathri Kishore, and makeup artist Salam.
Salim Ahamed’s most acclaimed work is 《Adaminte Makan Abu / Abu, Son of Adam》, which won four Indian National Film Awards and was India’s official entry for the Oscars. His earlier films include 《Pathemari》, 《Kunjananthante Kada》, and 《And the Oscar Goes To…》.
