NingdeMay 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Recently, CATL and Turkish automotive brand Togg officially reached a mass production cooperation agreement for the skateboard chassis. Togg and CATL’s subsidiary, Contemporary Amperex Intelligent Technology, will focus on joint development of three models under Togg’s new B-segment platform, with the first model scheduled for mass production in 2027. This marks the first cooperation project in China where an integrated intelligent chassis is supplied to the overseas passenger car market, signifying the success of the skateboard chassis in collaborating with China’s new energy vehicle industry chain to expand overseas markets.
Togg CEO Gürcan Karakaş, CATL Market System Co-President Tan Libin, and Contemporary Amperex Intelligent Technology Managing Director Yang Hanbing signed the agreement on behalf of the three parties. Togg Chairman Fuat Tosyalı, CATL Chairman and CEO Zeng Yuqun, and CATL Overseas Business Executive President Li Xiaoning attended and witnessed the signing.
Ningde CATL’s skateboard chassis, as the industry’s first ultra-safe skateboard chassis, redefines safety in the era of intelligent electric vehicles through three innovations: structural safety, cell safety, and high-voltage safety. Togg, as Turkey’s first domestically developed and best-selling electric vehicle brand, will lead user experience design, overall vehicle product requirement definition, and digital architecture construction.
