ShanghaiJune 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On the opening day of MWC Shanghai 2026, SGS, the internationally recognized testing, inspection, and certification organization, officially awarded Huawei its first AI glasses the world’s first Premium Performance Mark for wearing comfort. This certification marks the outstanding performance of Huawei’s AI glasses in terms of wearing comfort and represents a significant milestone in deepening cooperation between the two parties. Representatives from Huawei and Xu Guoke, Director of the EMC and RF Center Laboratory and Technology Electronics Product Line at SGS’s Connectivity, Technology, and Electrical & Electronic Services, jointly attended the award ceremony.

SGS Awards Huawei’s First AI Glasses the World’s First Premium Performance Mark for Wearing Comfort
Wearing comfort is not only a key consideration for consumers when purchasing smart wearable products but also a critical factor determining long-term user adoption. Gartner research data clearly indicates that for smart wearable devices to enter the mainstream market, the “comfort issue” must be fundamentally addressed. SGS’s verification of Huawei’s AI glasses is based on this industry need, providing authoritative endorsement of product comfort performance through a scientific and rigorous evaluation system.
In this collaboration, SGS leveraged its professional expertise in testing and certification to conduct rigorous and objective evaluation tests on Huawei’s new AI glasses. Based on the PT‑25‑000‑203500 technical specification jointly developed by SGS and the Ultra Metric human factors engineering team, a three-core evaluation system was established: “basic parameters, digital analysis, and perceptual quantification equipment assessment,” enabling a comprehensive and objective quantitative evaluation. In terms of basic parameters, Huawei’s AI glasses successfully passed cytotoxicity and biocompatibility tests, ensuring the materials are hypoallergenic, and the temple spacing conforms to the optimal ergonomic range, maximizing adaptability to different head shapes. Digital analysis focused on evaluating pressure in four key areas—nasal bone, temporal bone, sphenoid bone, and occipital bone—as well as dynamic stability during head movements, which are core criteria for comfort certification. Perceptual quantification equipment assessment used specialized instruments to provide precise objective data on key tactile indicators such as weight distribution and clamping force.
To ensure the universality and scientific validity of the test results, this verification relied on an industry human factors database covering over 40 countries and regions, with 550,000-level human feature samples. It clustered into two major population groups—Asian and European/American—and five standard head model types, using P20/P50/P80 representative head models for full-scenario testing. Results showed that Huawei’s AI glasses scored highly across different population groups, achieving comfortable adaptation for diverse global users. Additionally, SGS adopted a dual-track model of digital simulation and physical testing, using professional simulation platforms to replicate real-world daily conditions, including static wearing pressure distribution tests, dynamic simulations of mild head movements such as looking up, looking down, and shaking the head, and precise calculations of displacement and pressure load rates to convert physical parameters into human comfort perception. Tests indicated that the displacement of Huawei’s AI glasses during dynamic simulations remained within safe thresholds, with no significant pressure, slipping, or shifting, ensuring stable and comfortable wear even over extended periods. Meanwhile, SGS used the industry’s first jointly developed smart wearable comfort evaluation device, including a glasses clamping force tester and a center-of-gravity tester with 0.1mm precision, to complete rigorous physical verification. The product demonstrated moderate clamping force, optimized center of gravity, and no sagging sensation, achieving dual compliance in wearing stability and comfort.

Huawei AI Glasses Receive SGS Premium Performance Mark for Wearing Comfort
Huawei’s AI glasses becoming the world’s first smart glasses to pass the SGS PT‑25‑000‑203500 wearing comfort certification not only represents authoritative recognition of their product experience but also drives the industry toward establishing a scientific, standardized, and global evaluation system for wearing comfort. SGS will continue to leverage its professional standards and technological innovation to collaborate with more brands in creating wearable products that better meet human needs.
