BeijingMay 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Recently, SGS, the internationally recognized testing, inspection, and certification organization (hereinafter referred to as “SGS”), awarded the ISO 26262:2018 Functional Safety ASIL D Process Certificate to Xiaomi Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Xiaomi Auto”). Receiving this certificate signifies that Xiaomi Auto has established a product development and management process system compliant with the highest automotive functional safety level, “ASIL D,” in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 26262:2018 standard.

Under the guidance of SGS’s Functional Safety Center, Xiaomi Auto strictly adhered to the requirements of the ISO 26262:2018 standard and collaborated closely with SGS experts. By integrating with the company’s existing development process system, it achieved a functional safety standard development process covering the entire product lifecycle, including functional safety management, concept phase, system development, hardware development, software development, and support processes.
Following an independent audit by SGS, the functional safety standard development process established by Xiaomi Auto was confirmed to meet the requirements of the ISO 26262:2018 standard, resulting in the award of the Automotive Functional Safety ASIL D Process Certificate. This milestone lays a solid foundation for Xiaomi Auto’s future functional safety products.
