IstanbulApril 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Arçelik announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with Hitachi Global Life Solutions to sell its stake in Arçelik Hitachi Home Appliances (AHHA). Established in 2021, AHHA is a joint venture primarily engaged in the production, sales, and after-sales service of Hitachi-branded home appliances in global markets outside Japan. Arçelik holds a 60% stake in the company, while Hitachi Global Life Solutions holds the remaining 40%.
The total transaction consideration includes $205 million received in cash at closing, as well as a total of $56 million in deferred payments to be received in installments within three years after closing. Furthermore, 60% of the amount by which Arçelik Hitachi’s existing cash exceeds $56 million as of the closing date will be included in the total consideration as a closing adjustment.

The agreement is subject to customary closing conditions, including relevant regulatory approvals. Until the closing is completed, AHHA will continue to operate in accordance with the terms of the share purchase agreement and the joint venture agreement. The transaction is expected to be completed within 12 months after the signing of the agreement.
