Portal is an portal, which should not be specifically referred to as an information portal. The first generation portal is Sina, the second generation portal is Baidu, Taobao and QQ, and the third generation portal is Weibo and WeChat. The entrance is always of high value, but the form will change, along with the change of business logic and business value.

 

The biggest difference between the change of Chinese Internet access and the Internet in Europe and the United States is that China’s one-stop products are too powerful. However, when the level of cognition of netizens is getting higher and higher, they are not keen on one-stop. Professional and vertical values will not be obliterated, but the product model and business model cannot be too simple, otherwise, you will die as soon as big companies enter.

 

The best barrier is user experience.

 

For most products, technology is not a high barrier. Before growing into a large number of users, the technology used by Internet products is not so profound. Baidu Tieba, Sina Weibo and Tencent WeChat, the giant products that fell from the sky, indeed changed the Internet ecology overnight. This can not stop the trend of the market, but there is still room for survival in the depth vertical.

 

The mobile Internet has rewritten the law of competitiveness.

 

Behind the APP is a company’s all-round comprehensive ability. Once the product experience is qualified or excellent, plus the human nature induction algorithm, it will form a black hole effect. Therefore, Zhang Yiming’s ByteDance kingdom has risen.

 

The PC Internet is declining rapidly. In China, the PC traffic may be less than 1/10-1/5 of the peak period, and the scale of Internet users has increased unprecedentedly. Even rural elders are online, but they are all on the mobile end.

 

It is inevitable that the traditional portal website will decline. Users, traffic and advertising will all go to the mobile end, and the focus of the portal website itself will naturally go to the mobile end.

 

Portal websites may die, but portals will not, because the new generation of portals is not websites, but APP.

 

Sina.com is certainly not as fierce as it was in its heyday, but it does not prevent the number of Sina News APP users from reaching hundreds of millions. The portal will never disappear, because the essence of the portal is an Internet portal, not necessarily a news portal.

 

PC Internet has no value?

 

Of course not. The PC Internet has returned to specialization and high-end, and the creators have priority

 

The days of relying on Baidu wool in the past are gone forever, and the user centered PC Internet can still be sunny.
